What professional accomplishment gives you the most pride and what makes it so rewarding? Having co-founded two NYSE-listed companies. STORE Capital, which we started in 2011, is the most recent of these and is the best company I have ever been part of. It is unbelievably gratifying to have contributed to the creation of more than 80 quality positions, not to mention our importance to our many suppliers and their employees. We have outperformed peer group performance benchmarks, delivering consistent double digit rates of investor returns.
Danny is a Principal at ViaWest were he leads the leasing, asset management, and dispositions functions for the company. Additionally, he is involved with sourcing and negotiating prospective investments, as well as cultivating strategic relationships. Danny earned his undergraduate degree at West Point and MBA at Yale. What professional accomplishment gives you the most pride and what makes it so rewarding? Helping build a best-in-class investment and operating company founded on great people. I love seeing people operating in their unique talents and abilities. Fostering a culture at ViaWest that allows people to thrive at work and life is extremely rewarding. What do you consider the most surprising fact about you? I was a Deputy for the Treasury and an active duty Army Officer for 5 years.

Amanda Houghton is responsible for overseeing the building operations and leasing for over 24 million square feet of primarily medical office buildings in 33 states. In this capacity, Ms. Houghton supervises an in-house team of nearly 200 property management, building maintenance, leasing and construction management personnel, and 23 property management offices across the country. What professional accomplishment gives you the most pride and what makes it so rewarding? Creating one of the largest and best-performing in-house medical office management teams in the country. It has been extremely rewarding to learn from the best practices in the industry and put them into practice at HTA.

Glenn Rufrano has served as VEREIT’s CEO since 2015. VEREIT is a fullservice real estate operating company which owns and manages one of the largest portfolios of single-tenant commercial properties in the U.S. Since assuming the role of CEO, he has formalized a new management team and implemented a business plan to guide the company’s strategy. What advice would you offer to someone who wants to become successful in commercial real estate? Someone interested in commercial real estate should start by identifying their strongest personal attributes. This industry has numerous entry points – acquisitions, dispositions, finance, property management, leasing, accounting, legal and investor relations. If you can find a role that fits your personality and one which you have a passion, you will excel. 42

Will Creyer joined Cousins in 2013 and currently serves as the Vice President and Director of Cousins’ Phoenix portfolio in which he is responsible for leasing, property operations, investments and business development. He most recently served as an Associate on the Investments team. In that role, Will played a key role in all of the Company’s acquisitions, dispositions, new developments, asset management and corporate strategy. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas.
