Initial Report The project consists of the construction schedule of ABC University located in Chicago, IL. The construction is divided into 3 phases, the building is an expansion of a two-room office space (one for office space & the other for a meeting room) created for visiting scholars. The project start date was assumed to be November 22nd, 2023. Following are the key dates within the schedule: ● The project is set to be completed by February 20, 2024, with a duration of 56 days The WBS was broken down into 3 phases with sub-categories in each, these include: 1. Phase 1 ● Planning/Site Work 2. Phase 2 ● Foundation ● Structura ● Roofing ● Insulation ● Electrical ● Mechanical System ● Plumbing ● HVAC 3. Phase 3 ● Interior Finishes ● Inspection

Baseline ●

ABC University Campus going through an expansion of its campus ○

Two-room office space for visiting scholars ■ 1 Office Space ■ 1 Meeting Room

Scenario 2 Storm Zulu passed right through the city of Chicago inflicting significant damage to the city’s infrastructure. Several highways are closed and all resources and government authorities are involved in clearing and repairing the damage to bring back normalcy as soon as possible. ●

This has two significant effects on your project: ○ ○

The project start date will be delayed by at least two weeks; The local firm contracted with fabricating steel beams would not be able to fulfill their commitment. To overcome this they will transfer their contract to another company in Indiana who would take one week longer to complete the order.

Delivery of other materials is not affected by this scenario and continues to be on track.
