COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER Our Board structure is based on a partnership of our tenants and Ayrshire’s communities. We’re looking for two committed and knowledgeable individuals to join the Board. We are particularly interested to hear from people with an interest and/or experience in housing and social affairs, or with the financial knowledge to contribute to the supervision of a significant not for profit company. The positions are subject to election by our community members prior to the AGM on 7 September. The positions are unpaid although travelling expenses are refundable. Attendance at up to ten evening meetings a year can be expected. We offer comprehensive induction and role development support. We are committed to equal opportunities. If you are interested, please email our Company Secretary Alan Park (info@ayrshirehousing.org.uk) with a short statement (no more than 100 words) or fill out the form overleaf.
Since opening, our new space The Local has been a very popular venue for local organisations. We have had 15 groups in so far and all have given extremely positive feedback. We also have a number of reoccurring bookings from a variety of different types of local businesses. We welcome bookings for meetings, classes and exhibitions. To date, we have hosted networking events, music lessons, group get-togethers, committee meetings and even yoga! If you or someone you know would be interested in hiring The Local, please contact Shonya on 01292 880120 or email thelocal@ayrshirehousing.org.uk. Well laid out and really impressed with the space.
Thank you for making us feel very welcome last evening. We think The Local is a splendid facility and a super space.
The members of my group were very impressed with the set up and facilities at the Local.
Your offices are absolutely gorgeous! We will be very happy to place bookings with you.
