The brief

To provide a design proposal for mixed-use residential and retail space. The units of various sizes had to accommodate for housing to the surrounding areas where workers are employed, for minimal cost of travel. The site context and location had to be taken into consideration. The proposal needed to maximize space through the use of smart / multi-purpose / modular design solutions for both structures and furniture. In terms of budget, the residential space needs to fit within the “affordable housing” category. The furniture and fixings had to be selected from the PG Bison affordable catalogue.
