Modular multi-image processor scalable up to 72 inputs Axon’s multi image viewer system is part of the powerful and versatile Synapse range. SynView can be combined with over 350+ modular Synapse products, making it the most flexible solution in the broadcast market. Output resolutions up to 1920x1200 pixels on DVI and 1080p – 3Gb/s on SDI are supported. Other features include integrated Tally and UMD functions with up to three regions per input, metadata and error reporting. SynView can be configured in two housings, 2RU and 4RU. Existing Synapse installations can be expanded with a SynView multiview solution as well. The SynView multiview system is fully compatible with the popular G/H/SQW220 quad-split cards. And now enhanced with the powerful GMW100 monitoring card. If you are looking for a highly flexible, reliable, short power-up cycle multiviewer with the industry’s lowest processing latency, then SynView is the answer.

Display configurations SynView sets new standards in its configuration options. The amount of inputs displayed on an output (head) can easily be expanded. This is achieved by adding cards to this system. With every extra multiview card you will add 4 extra inputs. The flexible building blocks (GQW220, HQW220, GQW200, HQW200, GIQ200 and HIQ200) allow for ultimate scaling of the most demanding systems.

Example 2: 5 heads in one 4RU frame This example shows a SynView SVH/SVG700002 (16 x G/HQW220 + 2x G/HIQ200) configured as a five screen setup with 8+12+12+16+22/2 inputs. All screen sources need to be connected individually.

Example 1: 72 inputs on one head This example shows a SynView SVH/SVG720000 (18 x G/HQW220) configured as a single screen with 72 SDI inputs. The GIQ200 or HIQ200 adds DVI input functionality. Also, this module accepts NTP time-code on RJ45, LTC input (balanced on subD-15) and still 3 3Gb/s, HD or SD inputs.

Example 3: 22+2 inputs in one 2RU frame This example shows a SynView SVH/SVG220002 (4x G/HQW220 + 2x G/HIQ200) configured as a single screen with 22 SDI inputs and 2 DVI/VGA inputs. All screen sources need to be connected individually. Two expansion slots are still available for extra screen inputs or generic Synapse modules.

For true multi-head applications, a 3rd party router needs to be used. In most cases this router is already part of the system. Cortex router control is the ideal software solution for comprehensive multiviewer management. Using Cortex, with the optional router plug-in, enables you to control, monitor and set-up every aspect of your multiviewer, from screen layout to source management.

The Synview system is based on single slot Synapse cards. Depending on the frame you can have multiple layout configurations:

This example shows a SynView SVH/SVG240000 (6x G/HQW220) configured as a dual head with 8 and 16 grouped inputs. An external ‘existing’ router (Brand X) will make this system act as a true multi-head system. The GQW220 and HQW220 DVI outputs will work as a set in this setup, not stand alone.

Comes with Cortex: configuration, monitoring & control software Synapse comes with a configuration, control and monitoring software package. The AXON Cortex software application provides comprehensive configuration, monitoring and maintenance tools for Synapse. This Windows based application includes functionality that enables the user to remotely: Configure a complex system in a short time frame View, record and archive system events and report to the user with a hierarchical system status display Control devices using an intuitive graphical user interface Maintain the system over its lifetime

Ordering information The ordering information below consists of combining the two building blocks that are part of the SynView system. You combine modules with 4 SDI inputs together with modules that have 3 SDI and 1 DVI input. 

 

The Cortex multiview controls allows complete GUI of resultant output, allows control of multiple cards from one dialog, allows local presets/ screen layouts to be saved and recalled from local files on the PC, allows standard mouse movement to control the size shape and position of the windows.
