RETROFIT INSTALLATION OF VENTILATION EEMS

DURATION 2 Years 86
PROPERTIES
Our Retrofit project included the installation of PAS2035-compliant Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) at 80 terraced and semi-detached houses and 6 flats in St Helens, Merseyside for Torus Housing. Specifically, we supplied and installed energy-efficient Decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation (dMEV) at each property to improve air quality for residents and reduce risk of damp and mould.
Delivered under SHDF Wave 2.1, full funding drawdown was achieved through PAS2035 compliance.
Our Retrofit compliance team worked closely with Torus’s Retrofit Coordinator. And our PAS2030certified delivery partners in this end-to-end turnkey solution helped us guarantee TrustMark compliance and timely project delivery for our client.

We established a robust local supply chain by subcontracting 100% of ventilation works to PAS2030-certified local installers. This community initiative supported our delivery and stimulated the local economy. All subcontractors received full inductions and attended daily site meetings and weekly compliance checks.
Our full customer engagement programme included issuing welcome packs which provided comprehensive information on the benefits of the ventilation EEMs. Our Resident Liaison Officers remained available and in full contact throughout the works. We followed through with a demonstration of the new EEMs to residents and issued handover packs when the works were completed.
We added social value through a Community Action Day providing skips to residents to help them clear their waste sustainably and reduce flytipping meanwhile engaging the community.
