AWS CWI Course Description:

Eurotech ASCPL offers you AWS CWI 6 days Training program. This course gives a broad knowledge about “WELDING TRAINING” and prepares students for the AWS CWI, SCWI, and CAWI Exam. The course is an intensive one-week course with a Special emphasis on the use of the related codes and Calculations.

Course has 3 modules: ♦ Part A: Theory ♦Part B: Practical’s ♦Part C: Code Book This course content includes: ♦ AWS WIT ♦ API 1104 ♦ BOOK OF SPECIFICATION The course provides participants with the knowledge necessary to: ♦Successfully pass the AWS WELDING inspector certification exam ♦ Effectively use major codes: API 1104, any other welding codes, ASME B&PV Sections V & IX ♦Perform all basic WELDING practical s needed for the AWS ♦Use AWS requirements during inspection, repairs, and alterations in welding in any industry ♦Review welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and welder performance qualifications (WPQ) Exam is divided in Part A- 150, PART B – 45 and PART C -60 questions :Exam duration 2 hours each

AWS CWI CLASS PARTICIPENTS: MINIMUM EDUCATION Associate or higher degree in engineering technology, engineering, or a physical science High school diploma plus two or more years engineering/technical school courses High school diploma plus one year engineering/technical school courses or one or more years of vocational education and training in a welding curriculum High school diploma or approved high school equivalency diploma At least 8th grade Less than 8th grade NOTE:

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE 3 years 3 years 4 years 5 years 9 years 12 years

This is an intense course with daily homework and a final exam (similar to the AWS CWI Exam). A study guide is issued to direct participant’s pre-class study.

Who should Join AWS CWI Training Class: Inspection engineers and managers, Inspection Personnel, plant operating engineers and managers, who wish to appear for AWS examination? Maintenance engineers and technicians and people Involved in trouble shooting of plant operations. Inspectors, technologists, engineers, or experienced welders and welding supervisors who are involved in new welding fabrication, repairs, alteration, or inspection of welded pressure equipment. It will also assist API 510 and 570 inspectors who plan to challenge the CSA W178.2 practical exam to become a Level 2 inspector.

Bring to AWS CWI Class: Students should bring to class: a calculator, a straight edge, pencils, highlighters, lots of questions, and a “CAN-DO” attitude. Also, participants must bring the appropriate codes required for the API exam.
