PLAYMORPH compiles Research Work and the comprehensive production of an innovative Design Technology System undertaken as Major Project in the Masters of Design Innovation and Technology from RMIT University, Melbourne.
PLAYMORPH is a network that connects children and parents through joyful play interaction in both physical and virtual space. Through a series of playground installations and a smartphone app, the urban environment is represented as an alternate land of treasure, in which a child can travel to discover and collect jewels. Each site has a playscape where children can form different play objects. Parents become involved in the child’s play by using their smartphones as a tracking device to locate new playscapes and game challenges.
