AWEPA Financial Statement 2008 The year 2009 was a very dynamic year for AWEPA. A new programme strategy covering the years 2010-2015 was developed as well as a new management strategy promoting decentralisation and Africanisation. On the programme side AWEPA established itself as a major actor in the Aid Effectiveness process based on the Paris Agenda, and launched the African European Parliamentary Dialogue on Climate, Food Security and Development.

In 2008, the income and grants amounted to 6,140,000 Eur. Compared to 2007 (6,272,000), this is a decrease of 132,000 EUR or 2%. The year closed with a deficit of 10,000 EUR after decrease of reserves for special purposes (162,000 EUR). Considering the level of reserves ultimo 2008, a sound financial basis for AWEPA is still being maintained.

The funding situation for 2009 is promising with many new programmes presented to donors. The current budget shows a possibility of more then 7,000,000 EUR for this year.

We could not have had so many successes without our partners and donors and all staff who we would like to extend a big thank you for making our work in Africa and Europe possible.

AWEPA Financial Statement 2008 The year 2009 was a very dynamic year for AWEPA. A new programme strategy covering the years 2010-2015 was developed as well as a new management strategy promoting decentralisation and Africanisation. On the programme side AWEPA established itself as a major actor in the Aid Effectiveness process based on the Paris Agenda, and launched the African European Parliamentary Dialogue on Climate, Food Security and Development.

In 2008, the income and grants amounted to 6,140,000 Eur. Compared to 2007 (6,272,000), this is a decrease of 132,000 EUR or 2%. The year closed with a deficit of 10,000 EUR after decrease of reserves for special purposes (162,000 EUR). Considering the level of reserves ultimo 2008, a sound financial basis for AWEPA is still being maintained.

The funding situation for 2009 is promising with many new programmes presented to donors. The current budget shows a possibility of more then 7,000,000 EUR for this year.

We could not have had so many successes without our partners and donors and all staff who we would like to extend a big thank you for making our work in Africa and Europe possible.
