A HERITAGE THAT BEGAN IN 1917 FABCO’s experience with the sales and service of equipment and engines dates back to 1917 when John Fabick Sr. founded the first Fabick Company in St. Louis, Missouri. Originally, the company merchandised Cletrac crawler tractors and John Deere farm implements. In 1921, John Fabick expanded his business to include tractors manufactured by C.L. Best. Four years later, Best and Holt merged to form Caterpillar Tractor Co. This historic tradition turned north in 1982 when Caterpillar® consolidated dealer territories in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan and awarded representation of its products and services to one experienced dealership. The newly formed FABCO Equipment Inc. was founded by Joseph G. Fabick, John’s son.

Today, principal ownership of FABCO is controlled by Jeré C. Fabick, son of Joseph Fabick, and since 2002, FABCO’s President and CEO.

Cat-Powered heavy duty Peterson® chippers and grinders help turn wood waste into wood chips and mulch for landscaping as well as biomass material for energy production. This product line is a natural extension of FABCO’s role in the forestry market.

Peterson shingle grinders convert discarded roofing materials into a product that can be used in asphalt.

FABCO Power Systems FABCO Power Systems is a specialized division of our company that supplies Cat diesel and gas engines, power generation equipment, switchgear and controls for a broad range of applications. From engines powering a ferry in Door County, to emergency standby generators at University Hospital, to a complex renewable energy project that turns food processing waste into enough electricity to power a small city, FABCO has the technical capabilities, engineering support and project management expertise to provide complete turn-key power solutions.

FABTECH

Service Technician Education Center FABCO and Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) established FABTECH in 2007 as an innovative approach to filling FABCO’s rapidly growing need for skilled service technicians. A hybrid of a technical college education and real, hands-on learning, FABTECH is the ultimate destination for top students who want to pursue a career as a Cat equipment, engine or generator technician.

New, purpose-built facility in Oshkosh, WI features multiple classrooms and a large lab that replicates a FABCO service facility.

Caterpillar specific career tracks and the opportunity to work on current model Cat equipment using the latest tools and advanced diagnostic technology.

Experienced FVTC instructors supplemented with expert FABCO technical trainers.

Students have the opportunity to be on-the-job in less than 12 months where they can gain experience with the assistance of an experienced FABCO mentor.
