“I believe that there is such a thing, but I don’t think everyone finds them. A friend could be a soulmate. I believe in platonic soulmates, it doesn’t have to be romantic.” Shannon Wilson, junior “No, I could fall in love with like one out of every 500 people I meet.” Mazzy Booth, junior “Yes, I believe that everyone has ‘the one’ out there. I think for others it takes longer to find their soulmate, but for me, I think I’ve found mine.” Devon Conwell, sophomore “I don’t believe one soulmate. If your soul connects enough with someone then you’re soulmates.” Bre Butte, senior
Art vs. Science: Are they equally important in our education?
“Math and science are more important to education in general. You can use them for jobs and life purposes. The arts are a good recreational tool and they can get you far in life, but you can apply math and science way more.” Ethan Selvia, freshman “Not everyone likes [science]. [Art and music] help people express their feelings and emotions.” Erin Kuplinski, sophomore “Music and art are just as important. They benefit everyone.” Sierra Howell, sophomore FEBRUARY 2016
“Art and music are just as important [as math and science]. They let students be creative when math and science really can’t. They’re therapeutic. Math and science were already created by people, but art is created by you.” Abby Cooper, sophomore “We all have strengths and weaknesses. Some kids are stronger in math and some are in music. Not everyone’s profession is going to be strictly science or math.” Hayley Davidson, sophomore
“Art is just as important as math or science. There are plenty of careers that you need art and music for, and they’re very good at stress relieving.” Jess Wood, sophomore “In order to be a well-rounded person and to be wanted for colleges, you should have experience in all fields.” Brityn Heffron, sophomore “You do not use music as much in the real world. Math and science are applied to almost everything you do in life.” Jolee Sherman, sophomore
“Personally, I do believe that everyone has their special someone they are destined to be with. Now, the chances of finding that person in high school are low, so I do not bother along that front. But yes, in my eyes, my special someone is out there, it’s my job to find them.” Jonathan Delmont, sophomore “I think there are soulmates, but I don’t think everyone has one. It’s like two parts of a unique necklace and sometimes there’s only one part to a necklace.” Rachel Harden, freshman “I think some have romantic soulmates and some don’t. There are many kinds though. You may have a music soulmate or a soulmate for your hatred of algebra homework. It’s just someone you were destined to be with and I think that’s beautiful.” Grace Newton, freshman
