BULLYING-FREE NZ WEEK
Avondale College has always set the highest of expectations as a safe school. As part of this commitment we are supporting Bullying-free NZ Week. A number of events have been run across the school this week in support of this nation-wide focus, including Homeroom discussions, yesterday's mufti day, and a Heart of Gold initiative in which students and staff have been encouraged to identify acts of kindness shown by individuals throughout the week. Each Heart of Gold card is then placed in a box in the Atrium, and at the end of the week, these cards will be distributed school-wide. Parents, we have an excellent information sheet that will be extremely helpful should a child or young person tell you they (or someone they know) is affected by bullying. You can follow the link here to download.
