Now in its 19th year, this event showcases and celebrates Andersonville’s strong connection to art of all forms within our thriving community. This year we celebrate 3 days full of creativity with over 30 local businesses participating across countless genres of art, featuring local artists from across the city.
There’s something for everyone at Andersonville Arts Weekend! On the Self-Guided Art Walk, explore the neighborhood’s unique retail shops and restaurants to see how they’ve transformed into galleries. Bring family and friends to the Artist Receptions & Friday Night Parties; check in at Arts Weekend Headquarters at Pizza Lobo first to grab an Arts Weekend Guide, shop local artists popping up throughout the district, and don’t miss our special Sunday presentation of ABBA Acoustic: A Dancing Queen Matinee at the Chicago Waldorf School at 2:30PM.

This production will focus on the (unfortunately timeless) theme of the power held, and desperately clung to, by a patriarchal society, and how something as simple as two people openly loving each other outside of that dichotomy is an inherent threat to those in power. Playing September 9 - October 21.
