Cranston St. Armory This proposal for a co-working space, cafe, and performance space offers “Perimeter” multiple-use scenarios while building less. Only the perimeter of this historic Adaptive-Reuse structure is added to, by placing a platform and extending the existing stair seating. The strong structural system is used to hang tables, and the pillars used to cantilever tables. Cork walls, beechwood, and a simple blue paint application help refresh the space and reinforce the idea of the perimeter.

The addition of a large circular light fixture in the middle, & cutting into the roof to add angled skylights, allows the programs to meld together under newly cast artificial and natural light.

Exploring the relationship between interiorexterior, and connectivity through this fortresslike semicircular membrane that nestles a courtyard, these drawings of the unorthodox Pezo Von Ellrichshausen house demand intrigue and communicate effectively.

Museum Aperture The sequence of looking at objects in the contemporary museum interior creates a story, and is is dependant on the Study apertures/openings made in the space. Our reading of history, culture, etc. is influenced because of how art & objects are 2023 spatially laid out in any museum interior. This study explores how visual connectivity between different rooms affects perception to create new narratives— and proposes a way of breaking that barrier to allow our museum experiences to be free.

Axial Sliding Door For The Handicapped Door Mechanism Redesign/Research Project

This is a design solution and improvement of the door hinge, allowing for push-pull & sliding door mechanisms to occur at the same time— eliminating the need for wheelchair-bound users to turn their chair around in order to close doors.
