about me...

I am a recent graduate of Cedarville University’s Industrial Design Program. I have a passion for visualizing furniture and interior design through the use of 3D modeling and rendering software. Attention to detail and thoroughness are hallmarks of my production process.

I am now working on developing my skill set as a freelance visualization designer for furniture and interior design companies who would like to take their products and designs to the next level.

ayr desk This is a project I worked on in 2020 for my undergraduate Industrial Design program. I designed a desk with a minimal aesthetic and a narrow profile. This was intended for those with small living spaces who needed pieces of furniture with a small footprint.

I pulled this design back out to rework the rendering. I had originally rendered it at the beginning of my visualization journey and it deserved a better presentation.

I believe that the environment of a product is just as important as the product itself. When presenting a design to customers, it is the visualizer’s job to give an accurate picture of (and ultimately sell them on) the end product. Showing a believable scene with realistic props is crucial to the viewer’s understanding of then product.

saym youth center Senior year of college was when students in my industrial design program get to choose a design problem to tackle for our capstone project. I chose to create a new concept for a ministry center for a non-profit I’ve volunteered with in the past.

South Akron Youth Mentorship (SAYM) is based in Akron, OH. Their mission is to address widespread generational poverty in the Southeast Akron Area. SAYM runs a weekly children’s program where they mentor and nurture children from the surrounding area. Another key part of the ministry is a career training program.

My project centered around a new ministry center for the ministry to call home. It features facilities such as: classrooms, offices, a gymnasium, large group room, and numerous hangout spaces. The idea of the center is to give the children that come a safe place to learn how to renew their lives.

parma heights baptist church These renderings were the result of a project I completed senior year of my industrial design program. The goal was to remodel different parts of Parma Heights Baptist Church. I chose to redesign their Academy wing, where the church has a private school facility.

The building is quite outdated and badly needed a face lift. I chose a color scheme that was bright and fun, but not harsh on the eyes.

Unique built-in units have fun and inviting loft spaces in younger classrooms. They also feature cabinet units that provide much needed storage to teachers, with the option to lock up supplies on weekends, when the classrooms are used by sunday school classes.

ashley moyer interior design At Ashley Moyer Interior Design, I assist with presenting design choices to clients. I utilize digital modeling and rendering programs to breathe life into the material and product choices. Many times, I generate multiple images corresponding to the schemes provided to me.

Visualization is an essential part of interior design.

Clients can get a better idea of what their design choices will look like together. Being able to see different options side-by-side allows them to make a definite choice.

misc. renderings

This is a selection of interior and furniture renderings I did to practice setting up and rendering scenes.

They are all set up in Sketchup and rendered in Vray.

wood with a past: renderings Wood With A Past was a reclaimed barn wood furniture business. They take barn wood saved from barns being torn down and make it into custom furniture pieces for their customers.

I created a series of hand renderings for Wood With A Past. I worked at the furniture shop during college and did a variety of design visualizations for their products.

Each design is modeled in Shapr3d. Digitally painting screenshots in Procreate allowed me to make a realistic end product for clients at the business to see what their custom designs would look like.
