T H E ICEL A N DIC DE SIGN STORY Founded in the early 1980s by Gerdur Kristjansdottir, Icelandic Design has always been a labor of love. Gerdur, a native of Reykjavik, Iceland, comes from a long lineage of craftspeople. Her passion for knitting and embroidery comes through in the clothing she’s designed for over 30 years. Gerdur learned to knit at the age of seven from her mother who used to make the entire family’s clothes and wool socks to stay warm through the harsh Icelandic winters. Summers would find Gerdur sheering sheep on her uncle’s sheep farm. The shorn wool would be spun by a neighbor and turned into lovingly-constructed warm wool sweaters for the coming winter.

Gerdur’s and Icelandic Design’s passion for creating ‘wearable art’ is done today through the care of small, localized workforces who source the materials we use to create our clothing. We employ knitters who can work out of their homes or in collaboratives, so they can stay close to their families. Over the years, we’ve developed long-term relationships with hundreds of knitters in other countries, such as Nepal, Peru and China, who manufacture Icelandic Design. After more than 30 years of pouring her heart into the brand, Gerdur decided she was ready to move on. She remains dedicated and wanted to ensure that Icelandic Design would be taken over by a company with the same commitment to producing high-quality apparel, as well as a history of good business practices and a commitment to the people they employ. Icelandic Design is now a part of a family of brands that date back to 1965 and have been family-owned and operated from the start, Sportif USA. Sportif USA will continue to work with the Icelandic Design team and factories to create well-constructed knits for women who love the Icelandic Design brand and fine fashion.

Terms and Conditions • All orders are subject to credit approval by Sportif Wholesale, Inc. Banking Factor. • COD or advance payment may be required in some cases. • All preseason discounts are taken at time of invoice payment, if paid within stated terms. • We reserve the right to ship orders up to 30 days in advance of the requested ship date. • Terms are effective from the date of invoice. Discount eligibility and payment date are determined by the postmark date. Discounts are extended to merchandise only and not to shipping and handling. • Early payment discounts will not be allowed unless payment is postmarked within the discount period as stipulated on the invoice. • Standard Terms are Net 30 (Net 45 for FL) OAC. All orders are subject to approval through CIT Commercial Finance. COD or advance payment may be required if not approved. • We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express when previously arranged. • Prices are subject to change without notice. • We reserve the right to accept or reject any order. ORDER CANCELLATIONS/REVISIONS Order cancellations or revisions over $1000 must be made through regional sales representative. All cancellations and revisions must be requested in writing. CANCELLATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE ORDER START-SHIP-DATE. RETURNS • All returns, including defective merchandise, must be preauthorized by your account manager within 180 days. • Returns that are not defective or damaged must be received by Sportif USA in a condition conducive for resale. • Returns may be subject to a 10% restocking fee. • Warranty returns will be repaired or replaced at our option. SHIPMENTS • Standard shipping will be F.O.B. Sportif Wholesale, Inc., UPS Ground Service, prepaid and invoiced. • All other shipping methods or special shipping instructions need to be clearly stated on your purchase order. CLAIMS • Claims against shipments must be made in writing (via mail or fax) or via email to us within 15 days from receipt of invoice. PAST DUE ACCOUNTS/COLLECTION • Past due accounts shall incur a service charge of 1.5% per month, or $5.00, whichever is greater, for each outstanding invoice. • Shipments will be withheld from accounts with past due invoices and/or other charges. • Accounts that are more than 60 days past due may be turned over to a collection agency. • Buyer agrees to pay the full cost and expense, including attorneys fees incurred by Sportif Wholesale, Inc. for the collection of past due accounts.
