South Florida magazine was recently invited to join local and national snake hunters including the Wildman himself "Dusty Crum" who stated that the Florida Python Challenge / Python Bowl is the most important hunt in the state of Florida. The event has been a huge success with over 80 snakes captured there has even been a small improvement with local wildlife. The invasive species tend to gobble up storks and many other types of birds and animals which are native to the Florida fauna. The event is headed up by environmental Scientist Christina Stylianos who volunteered her time attending of our magazine's local events held at Diamond's by Raymond Lee. Christina provided a 15 foot python skin which was unrolled and held by the guests and celebrities attending the event including fashion designer Shy Figaro, author Dave Iacovetti and Dr. Khalilah Camacho-Ali.
