Joe owned a successful commercial painting and contracting business in downtown Chicago. He relocated to Florida for her climate, both business climate and the warmer weather.

He is well known for Neil Diamondesque vocals and his ability to wow the ladies much like the late great Elvis Presley.

In his spare time Joe enjoys writing music, photography, yachting and bible study.

KABBALAH CENTER MIAMI The Rescued Zohar by Jay Shapiro A Book of Healing and Protection On February 22nd 2016 I was at work at my sales job and happened to walk by a trash can. Sitting on the edge of the trash can was a small pocket version of The Holy Zohar. I thought to myself: how could somebody attempt to throw away such a beautiful book. It was in perfect condition. Inside the front cover is a sticker that says "Kaballah Center Miami" and had the address. I thought to myself that perhaps someday I will go there.

Then I forgot all about it.

Four years later I happened to invite a social media friend to a birthday party that was being thrown for me on July 1st 2020. It was during the Covid era so I figured certain people might appreciate getting out of the house. My friend showed up to my event with a huge potted bouquet of flowers and other gifts. As an alpha male I remember thinking that it was a bit odd but I did appreciate her caring nature and generosity and I must admit they were very beautiful flowers.

On the night of July 10th, 2022 my flower lady friend had messaged me a flyer to attend: HEAL YOUR SOUL an event with guided meditation and Zohar wisdom. I was reluctant yet she talked me into it. I had completely forgotten about the Zohar I had rescued 6 years prior. I arrived and instantly reconnected with another acquaintance I had not seen in 10 years. I enjoyed the sushi and sake and sat down at the table with my friend.

The spiritual coach is Yehuda Goldfiner. He is a former software engineer who discovered the wisdom and energy of the Zohar after a near-death accident. He does an excellent job and perhaps he should be famous.

For the past two years most of my social interaction has stemmed from arguing about politics on social media, the television set and going to bars where oftentimes there are those who could benefit from a more positive outlook on life. The class was indeed very healing for me and it felt as though I had been lifted up and out of a trash can similar to the one somebody tried to toss my Zohar in. I would recommend it to ANYONE!!!

The concepts occupying each floor will make the venue a destination.

The stories highlighted in Hope is Here are based off, Bonnie J. Addario's book, The Living Room, which focuses on the impact of lung cancer on the lives of its victims. FLIPANY Honors National and Local Partnerships Florida Introduces Physical Activity and Nutrition to Youth (FLIPANY) is honored to have the support of various local and national partners. The Healthy Students Healthy Community Partnership (HSHC) was developed to improve the health of Deerfield Beach Middle School students and families. As part of this initiative, FLIPANY serves as the lead agency and has received a two-year grant to create change and focus on improving the health of the Deerfield Beach community, which was one of 20 communities from 11 states that benefit from the collaboration.

The Healthiest Cities and Counties Challenge funds the HSHC partnership, the American Public Health Association, the Aetna Foundation, and the National Association of Counties and Healthy Places by Design. FLIPANY is proud that the local communities have supported the HSHC partnership, allowing the program to flourish.

Along with our national partners, FLIPANY has had the pleasure of engaging in two outstanding local partnerships: Farm Share and the Children's Services Council of Broward County. Farm Share is a Florida-based nonprofit food bank that provides families in need with fresh produce and healthy food to which they may not otherwise have access. Children's Services Council of Broward County has made it its mission to provide Broward County children with the resources necessary to become healthy and responsible adults.

Incredibly, the market has had the opportunity to reach people beyond South Florida. Recently, a family of three from Kentucky lost everything due to a tornado and came to Deerfield Beach to stay with family in the area. The mom expressed relief knowing that receiving a weekly food supply eases the burden on her family.
