President Takes Action to Lower Insulin Costs to America's Senior Population President Trump has taken action to reduce the cost of insulin and improve the quality of care for America’s seniors. As the New York Post reports, Trump slashes cost of insulin for Medicare enrollees to $35 a month.

“The deal struck with the nation’s insulin manufacturers and health care providers will limit the co-pay for a month’s supply of insulin to $35 — a 66 percent reduction to current costs, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said.

“The initiative will apply to the 1 in 3 Medicare enrollees who have diabetes, which is approximately 3 million people.”

President Trump has been a champion for America’s seniors. In 2019, the President signed an executive order to protect and and improve care for our nation’s seniors.

As Rep. Kevin Brady said then, “I am encouraged by the President’s commitment to increase available Medicare benefits, promoting new technologies that expand health care access across the country, particularly in rural communities, eliminate fraud and abuse within the system, and put America’s seniors first.”

The Administration has also worked tirelessly during the COVID–19 pandemic to protect America’s seniors. President Trump and his team have taken action to increase testing, provided regulatory relief to medical providers to help speed up medical care, and has ensured seniors can continue to see their doctors for non-COVID related needs.

Dick Thornburgh, Two-term Pennsylvania Governor, U.S. Attorney General and United Nations Under-Secretary General, dies at 88 Former Pennsylvania Gov. Dick Thornburgh, who made integrity and efficiency the hallmarks of his public service as a governor, U.S. attorney general and under-secretarygeneral of the United Nations, died peacefully of natural causes today in Pittsburgh, PA. He was 88. The governor's public career spanned 25 years, and he retired earlier in 2020 as counsel to the international law firm of K&L Gates LLP. As the father of a son with significant disability, he was perhaps proudest of playing a leadership role as U.S. attorney general in enacting the Americans with Disabilities Act which provided sweeping provisions against discrimination based on a person's disability. Washington Post columnist David Broder called the ADA "arguably the most significant civil rights and social policy legislation to become law in more than a decade.

"Governor Thornburgh has done a superlative job," said President Jimmy Carter, when visiting the site. "Because of the trust of the American people in him, and particularly those who live in this region, potential panic and disturbance has been minimized.

"Ultimately, Mr. Thornburgh's leadership would be felt far beyond Three Mile Island – to his service in the U.S. Department of Justice, at the United Nations in New York, and as a private counsel commissioned to unravel misconduct in the business and media worlds.

Mr. Thornburgh rode a reputation as a corruption-busting federal prosecutor into the Pennsylvania governor's office in 1978, mounting a come-from-behind campaign to defeat a popular former Pittsburgh mayor, Pete Flaherty. Despite a severe recession, the governor won a tough reelection in 1982 against a little-known Central Pennsylvania congressman and became the first Republican governor to serve two consecutive terms.

In addition to his wife, Ginny, Mr. Thornburgh is survived by four sons and their families: John and his wife, Sharon; David and his wife, Rebecca; Peter and William; six grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.

Congressional Candidate Dan Rodimer to Announce Plan to Stop Illegal Immigration at Texas Border Friday

Republican Congressional candidate Dan Rodimer (TX-06) will be speaking in Laredo, Texas on Friday, March 26, 2021, in an effort to stop illegal immigration and protect the United States' southern border. He is using his speech to outline his plans to stem the surge of migrants coming across the southern border.

A key policy issue for Rodimer is the ongoing crisis on the southern border. "The safety and security of our country and its citizens is of primary importance to me, and I will do everything I can to make sure that Americans, especially Texans, remain safe and secure from illegal Immigrants."

"This entire border situation is due to the failed policies of the Biden Administration. We are going to the border this week to show our fellow Americans – and Texans – that we will no longer stand for such egregious actions on our southern border. The people who I will represent in my district need a fighter. I am willing to stand up to the radical left and stand up to Speaker Pelosi when I am elected," said Rodimer.

The Rodimer campaign partnered with a group named Women Fighting For America to put on the event.

Rodimer will be announcing his solution to the Border Crisis, called the "Angel Act" to write into law a modern border solution based on Trump's "Remain in Mexico." It will also prevent cartels from taking advantage of our border and using human trafficking as a revenue source.

"Yesterday, Biden called himself a 'nice guy' at the border. There's nothing 'nice' about what he is doing. The Biden administration has created a cash incentive for human traffickers. This needs to stop now. That's why I'm running for Congress - to protect families," said Rodimer.

The Rodimer campaign cites the increase in border crossings mandated by Biden in his executive order issued on January 21 that rescinded the "Remain in Mexico" policies or Migrant Protection Protocols that President Trump's administration had put in place.

"It's time that we write a border policy into law that puts Americans first. We are pro-legal immigration, and we want people coming to this country that want to build it with us. It's dangerous to flood the border during a pandemic with illegal immigrants and that's exactly what Pelosi and Biden are doing," said Rodimer.

Florida Governor Ron Desantis signs Right to Farm Bill #SB88 with overwhelming support:

Governor Ron DeSantis signed SB 88, Farming Operations, preserving Florida’s agricultural heritage and modernizing Florida’s Right to Farm Act which regulates agriculture throughout the state of Florida. The Governor was joined at the bill signing ceremony by Florida farmers, Senate President Wilton Simpson, and bill sponsors, Senator Jason Brodeur and Representative Jayer Williamson, highlighting the strong bipartisan support of SB 88.

Speaker Chris Sprowls (R-Palm Harbor) said, “It was a pleasure to partner with President Simpson on his passion project to protect Florida’s agriculture industry. Kelly Corrects the Record on Dems’ Health Care Claims in Subcommittee Hearing The top Republican on the Ways and Means Oversight Subcommittee Mike Kelly (R-PA) delivered the following opening statement at a Subcommittee hearing.

“Thank you for holding this hearing today, Mr. Chairman.“First and foremost, this is a very tough time. My thoughts and prayers go out to anyone who has lost a family member or loved one from this virus.“And during this time, the cost of health care is on the minds of many Americans, so I appreciate the opportunity to discuss these issues today.“Our health care system is far from perfect.“But, with a hearing like this, I’m also reminded of how fortunate we are to live in a country with access to the most innovative health care on the planet.

“As I sit here today, we have made positive progress on stabilizing the ACA’s exchanges: Insurance premiums are down, coverage choices are up, and enrollment is stable.

“Sadly, many Democrats simply want an unpopular and partisan government takeover of health care when we should be working together to lower costs and increase coverage options.“Their one-size-fits-all approach is wrong—their plans will take choice away from hard working Americans in my district who like their current health insurance.“The Affordable Care Act is ten years old. Much of that law has changed in the last ten years—on a bipartisan basis. Q) How did you get started in your business? (Gold Coast Logistics Group & DMG) A) I used to work in the Finance world - Lending for major corporations. Elite Financial, Citi Group etc. I always wanted to invent a cheap product and sell it to millions. Instead I decided to provide an existing service but customized according to my own formula in Interstate Transportation. I started from 2 Cargo Sprinters, and 1 year later we acquired 3 semi trucks and trailers. We now have over 450 trucks on the road and 600 employees.

Q) How did your politics evolve?

A) I grew up in Chicago for the past 18 years where everyone was a Democrat. Now I barely know a couple of people that still are. Everyone flipped to the Republican side. I was raised by my parents with a conservative mentality. That’s why I identify with GOP! I’m raising my children the same way. Strong Family values, respect, honesty and hard work. This country offered me everything I have. It’s time for me to give this country back .....

Q) Do you run your own PAC? A) No!, I help assist many local candidates, I participate in local events events and I donate as much as I can locally and nationally - for our future and the future of our children!

I personally donate to candidates whom I feel may have good chances of victory and with good moral character!!
