On the heels of a wildly successful start to 2018, comedian, actor, author Sebastian Maniscalco kicks off the fall leg of his blockbuster “Stay Hungry” international tour. The tour will make its way across the US and Canada with stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Vancouver and Calgary. Maniscalco recently wrapped the spring leg of his tour with five soldout shows at New York’s iconic Radio City Music Hall. 10 COMMANDMENTS OF ITALIAN CUISINE 1 - YOU SHALL NOT SIP CAPPUCCINO DURING A MEAL! Coffee and cappuccino are the pride of Italy in the world; but if the first is usually consumed at the end of the meal, the second, more substantial, is sipped at breakfast, usually accompanied by some pastry. You can ask for a cappuccino at the end of a meal, just know that most Italians don’t.

2 - RISOTTO AND PASTA ARE NOT A SIDE DISH The organization of courses in the Italian dining is unique and requires pasta and – most of the time – risotto to be served by themselves (apart from specific recipes such as Ossobuco milanese-style). The presentation of pasta as a side dish to others is widespread in several countries, but in Italy is seen almost as a sacrilege.

3 - YOU SHALL NOT ADD OIL TO PASTA WATER! Oil should not be added to pasta cooking water! Pasta dressing (and oil too) must be added only after you have drained it from its cooking water. Find out how to cook pasta like an Italian here.

4 - KETCHUP ON PASTA: PLEASE, DON’T This is one of the combinations that most shocks Italians; although ketchup may have some similarities to tomato sauce, pouring ketchup over pasta in the “Bel Paese” is considered a real gourmet crime. Keep ketchup for your french fries or hot dogs, please!

5 - SPAGHETTI BOLOGNESE? NO WAY, IT’S TAGLIATELLE! While probably being the world’s most popular Italian recipe, you will not find any restaurant in Bologna to eat it. That’s because the original Italian recipe is “Tagliatelle Bolognese” (not spaghetti). Although this may seem a minor detail, in real Italian cuisine the pairing of the right kind of pasta with the right sauce is considered almost sacred.

6 - CHICKEN PASTA: NOT IN ITALY Speaking with American friends, one of the most frequent requests is the advice for a typical Italian recipe for pasta with chicken.

It’s always rather embarrassing to point out that in Italy there are no hot dishes featuring pasta and chicken.

7 - “CAESAR SALAD” This salad, which bears the name of its supposed creator, Caesar Cardini, is a part of the long list of recipes devised by chefs of Italian origin, but in fact is almost unknown in Italy.

8 - THE RED AND WHITE CHECKERED TABLECLOTH IS ONLY A STEREOTYPE! For some strange reason, these tablecloths are universally associated with our food and with the stereotype of the "spaghetti-eater", and abroad almost all the restaurants that want to play typical Italian use them. Probably, tourists who come to visit Italy remain somewhat disappointed when they discover that the checkered tablecloths are almost never used (only restaurants for tourists do!)

9 - “FETTUCCINE ALFREDO” ARE POPULAR ONLY OVERSEAS This is perhaps the most curious in this top ten. The fettuccine Alfredo is both the most famous “Italian” food in the United States and the least known dish in Italy. These noodles, seasoned with butter and Parmigiano Reggiano, are in fact actually been invented in the “Bel Paese”, specifically by Alfredo Di Lelio, the owner of a restaurant in Rome, but in Italy have never been imposed as a traditional dish. Overseas, however, have become increasingly popular and in time became a symbol of the good life in Rome. For this reason legions of American tourists coming to Italy hoping to enjoy the fettuccine Alfredo at every restaurant on the peninsula remain very disappointed.

10 - YOU SHALL RESPECT TRADITION AND WHAT ITALIAN MAMMA SAYS. She knows from her mamma, who knew from her mamma who knew from her mamma and so on. It's been tried and tested. And what a mother teaches at her daughter while they are cooking? That love is the center of all. We must share Italian food with your loved ones. It is what life, love and family are all about.

Estate Caponata by Peter Serrano Ingredients 1 Eggplant, peeled & diced, organic 1 Brown Onion, diced, organic 1 Red Bell Pepper, diced, organic 1 Yellow Bell Pepper, diced, organic 1 Green Bell Pepper, diced, organic 1 Zucchini, chopped, organic ½ cup Celery, diced, organic ½ cup Raisins, soaked in 2 tbs. warm water or brandy for 20 mins.

4 cloves Garlic, chopped ½ cup Fresh Basil, chopped ¼ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil ½ cup Balsamic Vinegar ¼ cup Tomato Puree or Crushed Tomatoes, organic, no salt added 3 tbs. Brown Sugar Salt Pepper Instructions Make sure all your chopping and cutting is taken care of and prepared.

Heat a large sauté pan over high heat and add the olive oil, garlic, and onion.

Cook until translucent for approx. 5-6 minutes.

Add the eggplant and all the bell peppers cooking for and additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add zucchini and celery, cook for 2 minutes.

Add tomato puree, basil, vinegar, sugar and raisins, season with salt and pepper to taste. Lower heat to medium-low and stir to incorporate.

Cook on medium, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until caponata has thickened. Add a final dash of salt and pepper to taste if needed.

Enjoy as a side to meats or tossed into pasta or spread on whole wheat bread!

Ferrari Monza SP - Limited Series "Icona" Cars The Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 are the forerunners in a new concept, known as ‘Icona’ (Icon), that taps into a leitmotif of the most evocative cars in the company’s history to create a new segment of special limited series cars for clients and collectors. The intention is to use a modern aesthetic to reinterpret a timeless style, with technologically advanced components and the highest performance possible through continuous innovation.

The Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 are inspired by barchettas of the 1950s which were driven to victory in international motor sport not just by official works team drivers from the Scuderia, but also by a legion of gentlemen drivers who, in those years, frequently found themselves wheel to wheel with legendary professional drivers of the era.

The first ever Ferrari to be referred to as a barchetta was the open-top version of the 1948 166 MM. The name was coined by Giovanni Agnelli who, upon seeing the car for the first time at the Turin Motor Show that year, commented that it was less like a car and more like a barchetta, referring to the Italian for a small speed boat. The Touring-bodied 166 MM barchetta wrote Ferrari’s name firmly in the history books, winning first the Mille Miglia and then the grueling 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1949. This model was followed by other extraordinarily successful Ferrari Sports cars, such as the 750 Monza and 860 Monza which were inspiration for the name of the new models.

Barchettas were similar to spiders in form (two seaters), but had no roof or weather equipment. Instead of a full windscreen, they were equipped with just a small screen (single or wrap-around) and a removable tonneau cover over the passenger side. The Monza SP1 and SP2 are similar in concept, although the main difference is that they can be ordered either as a single-seater or as a two-seater.

The result is a car that seems sculpted by the wind. It is the purity of the styling elements that impresses – an aesthetic that is futuristic but, at the same time, a respectful yet un-nostalgic homage to the past.

Enzo Ferrari used to say that “If there is such a thing as a soul, engines have one”. This model’s soul is, as is true of all Ferraris, in its engine. The Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 are equipped with the most powerful naturally-aspirated V12 ever produced by Ferrari. Thanks to specific areas of development, the power of the 812 Superfast’s 6.5 litre has been increased by 10 cv to 810 cv at 8500 rpm with a slight increase in torque to 719 Nm at 7000 rpm.

Just like on racing cars, extensive use of carbon-fibre has been made throughout the construction of the Monza SP1 and SP2 to make them light and responsive and to enhance their sporty, aggressive visual appeal.

As these are completely en plein air sports cars with no windscreen, one of the biggest challenges was to create an aerodynamic solution that would ensure the driver enjoys the performance of the cars without being affected by issues caused by the barchetta configuration. The result was the patented “Virtual Wind Shield” which is integrated into the fairing ahead of the instrument panel and the steering wheel, providing exceptional driving comfort.

The Monza SP1 and SP2 design language is clearly visible in its elegant forms and the wing-profile volume of the all-carbon-fibre bodyshell, in its proportions, refined details, spare lines. The extreme forms of the more extreme high-performance Ferraris have been avoided. In this instance, the Ferrari Styling Centre’s designers strove to retain a form so pure it could be described in a single pencil stroke.

Onze Importers, LLC, a Florida-based wine importing company led by industry veteran Danielle Dattile, has acquired Maison Belle Claire Rosé and Maison Prestige Rosé from Romano Brands of New York, with the intent to grow distribution of the French wines in the United States.

Maison Belle Claire was trademarked in January of 2014; with a retail price of $17.99, it was named best value Rosé by Wine Spectator. The sophisticated, elegant and particularly dry Rosé was originally developed in Provence, France. The wine catapulted the entire subset of Rosé to the forefront of the industry when it was introduced to the Hamptons jet set crowd in the early 1990s.

The brand is currently available in many states, through small wine distributors and throughout the Caribbean and Europe.

"My dream was always to own wine brands and this affords me with the added opportunity to take these respected brands to another level," explained CEO Danielle Dattile, who has been in wine and spirits distribution for six years, having held positions at Republic National and Empire Merchants in New York. "Owning my own wine importing business turns this into a reality.

Because of my extensive network, I plan to also import Italian wines as well and take less prominent yet highly sophisticated European brands to new heights here in the US."

Dattile recognized the explosion in Rosé sales in recent years and saw an opportunity to leverage relationships to grow the brand and give it as much prominence as more well-known Rosés on the market via large national wine distributors.

The opportunity to import Loire valley wines further augments Onze's portfolio offerings.

Another major feat for Dattile is that Onze will soon become the exclusive French wine importer for several Bordeaux wines.
