a speculation on construction typologies and circular economies
a gallery space in an art precinct of urban regeneration
a story of displacement due to sea level rise and the connection to neo-culture
an immersive museum celebrating nature
non-human habitat unfolding a research prototyping of a robotic 3D prints

The building volume is forming space at ground level that acts as an attractor for the social infrastructure unlocking the additional program to the mixed use student accomodation.
speculation on construction typology and circular economy
DISCRETE ARCHITECTURE IN THE AGE OF AUTOMATION AND ROBOTICS IS A CONCEPT IN FLUX. CURRENTWORLD EXPANSION SETS UNPRECIDENTED VERTICAL AND MULTI-USE URBAN ENVIRONMENTS THAT ARE BEING RESHAPED. DEALING WITH THE URBAN AND DECENTRALISATION HAS CAUSE FLUX OF THE CITIES AS A ‘FAST-BUILD, RIGID PERMANENT STRUCTURAL EMBODIMENT, DEEPLY EMBEDED IN THE CORE OF THE GROUND OF THE FORMATION OF CITIES. MOREOVER, MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION IS A MAJOR DRIVING FACTOR IN SOLVING THE WORLD EXPANSION AND ENVIRONMENTAL DECLINE AS FACTORY POLLUTIONS, MATERIAL WASTE AND MASS PRODUCTION IS A DRIVING ELEMENT WORLDWIDE. THE PROJECT UNFOLDS NOT ONLY THE USE OF THE SPACE, BUT ALSO THE DESIGN OF THE CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS- MODULES.
Discrete is a design methodology that unfolds the idea of a model in architecture to challenge, completes, and explore architectural design and constructio. Discrete for me has a strong focus on aggregation and it is an exploration tool for designing. From small pre-fab apartments generated with an algorith follwing a set rules to allow new typology and generate living spaces.

THE INTERLOCKING DESIGN OF CLT IS MANAGED BY A SCRIPT OF DISCRETE ARCHITECTURE IN SPECULATION. SYSTEMS INLVOLVING REGENERATION AND RENEWABLE MATERIALS IS THE FUTURE. DISCRETE SPACES AND PHENOMENOLOGY OF ESCAPISM IS THE NEAR FUTURE OF COMPUTATIONAL SPACES AND ROBOTIC ASSEMBLY. DESIGN IS TO BE EXPLORED FURTHER BY ARCHITECTURE AND TECHNOLOGY.

Capturing a temporary event, e.g a process into a permanent form to celebrate art as a process, not a final logical coclusion. The building refects on the experimental and contemporary movements in art, while accomodating emerging digital forms of art.

a gallery space to provoke
FITZROY CONTEMPORARY IS AN ART GALLERY LOOKING AT CREATING EXPERIENTAL ART JOURNEY WITHIN AND OUT THE BUILDING EXTEND. FROM THE MOMENT OF ARRIVAL ON THE URBAN PLOT AND ITS BUSY CONTEXT TO THE INTERNAL NON-ORDINARY SPACIAL SPACES PROVIDING SCULPTURAL, AND APTMOSPHERIC STORY OF MOVEMENT, LIGHT, ART, JOURNEY, MOOD, NARRATIVE AND STORY TELLING OF THE ART AND SPACE.

THE BUILDING IS REPRESENTING THE CONTEMPORARY TAKE ON RE-DEVELOPING AND RE-FORMING FITZROY ART PRECINCT; TO ACCOMODATE SMALL TO LOCAL ARTS, AND TO PROVIDE ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL REFLECTION AND GROWTH ON THE MELBOURNE ART PRECINCT. THE PROCESS OF ART SOLIDIFY THE MOMENT TO CREATE A FORM OF DYNAMIC FEELINGS OF EXPLORATION. ART IS CHANGING, SPACES ARE CHANGING. THE MATRIX OF NEW,
TWISTED AND RAW SPACES ARE WELCOMING MOTIVATION FOR RE-FORM, REFLECTION OF THE NEW CULTURAL HUB OF TODAY WHILE OPENING UP POSSIBILITIES OF TOMORROW. IN THE HEART OF THE ART PRECINCT IS THE ARCHITECTURE- A PLACE TO GATHER A DIVERSITY OF GENRES WITH THE INTEND OF CLUSTERING CULTURAL OPPORTUNITY FOUND IN ART, ARCHITECTURE AND TELL A STORY OF VISUAL CULTURE.

a story of displacement and disappearing land
THROUGH AN EXPLORATRION OF THE FACTORS CAUSING DISPLACEMENT IN THE CURRENT TREND OF GLOBAL PHENOMENA OF CLIMATE CRISIS AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH DISAPPEARANCENCE OF LAND, THE MUSEUM UNFOLDING THE UNSEEN REPAIRS THE IMPORTANCE OF TIME, RAW RESOURCES, LAND, FORCED HUMAN MIGRATION. THE DESIGN BRINGS FORWARD A REMINDER AND A RESET
THROUGH THE LAYER OF DIMENSION AND COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE EXISTING AND PROPOSED. IT ALSO COLLABORATES WITHIN A DIALOG WITH THE MATERIALITYOF THE DESIGN. THE RECYCLED CLAY AND GROUND MADE MATERIALS FORM THE FABRIC OF THE BUILDING. A PLACE FOR EDUCATING OF THE FUTURE THOUGH THE THE IMAPACT OF THE PRESENT AND THE PAST.

IN PAST AND PRESENT- A REALLITY OF THE FUTURE. THE DISCONNECTION BETWEEN MAN AND NATURE HAS PUT US IN THE PRESENT OF FORGETTING TO LEARN FROM THE PAST AND HOW TO LIVE ON THE LAND WE HAVE. AND LAND IS THE MAIN SOURCE OF DISPLACEMENT OF PEOPLE AS A RAW RESOURCE AND A PLACE FOR
THE NARRATIVE OF THE PRESENT AND THE PAST TO BECOME A SIGNIFICANT PHYSICAL SPACE WHERE PEOPLE CAN GET AN INGIGHT OF THE SERIOUS IMPACT OF THE FUFUTURE, BUT IT IS EMBEDED IN THE PAST AND PRESENT.
CLIMATE REFUGEE, MATERIAL CONSUMPTION, HUMAN SUSTAINABILITY AND DISPLACEMENT AS MAJOR IMPACT OF GLOBAL ISSUES.

Designed is trully unpredictable- a request for a journey. The diagrams explain the journey of the museum, its spatial arrangement and directions.

m Diagramatic communication of the space. It is a snapshot of a series of diagrams explaining the layers of the building elements and its use.
a winning competition for immersive museum
THE IMMERSIVE MUSEUM IS A PART OF TELLING A STORY OF RE-CONNECTION WITH NATURE. THE NARRATIVE STARTS FROM ARRIVAL AND LEADS THE VISITORS TO EXPLORE THE IMMERSIVE SPACES AND GALLERIES LEARNING THAT STORY. THE SPACES IS TO DELIVER UNIQUE USER EXPERIENCE WHILE FUNCTIONALITY IS PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES OF METHODS OF INTERNAL DYSPLAY AND EXTERNAL ARCHITECTURE.
THE COMPLEXITY OF THIS DESIGN IS THE SIMPLICITY. THE TWISTING VOLUMES FORM VOIDS ACTING AS THE HEART OF THE COMPLEX. UNFOLDINGOUT TOWARDS THE SURROUNDING OUTER SPACE FORMING MAIN ACCESSING AXES. TWISTING FLOOR PLATES FORM IMMERSIVE GALLERIES AND SPACES TO ACCOMMODATE EXTENSIVE COLLECTIONS. THE NATURE CONNECTION LEADS YOU IN , THROUGH AND OUT EXPERIENCING THAT JOURNEY AS A
FLOWING FROM ONE SPACE TO ANOTHER WITHOUT STRICT PHYSICAL BOUNDARIES- THEY ARE BLURRED. IT IS A MOMENT OF BEING AWAY OF THE DENSELY CITY BEHIND, AND THE EXPERIENCE OF THE COLLECTIONS TAKE YOU FAR THROUGH TIME AND SPACE. THE BUILDING MERGES WITH THE ENVIORNMENT RATHER THAN GIVE ITS BACK TO THE CITY. IT IS IMMERSIVE LANDMARK HOLDING THE HEART OF THE CITY IN THE LANDSCAPE AND PLAZAS.

COMPREHENSIVE HALL A

The prototype is a form of research prototyping on design and technology. The section shows the complex layering of the 3D clay print.
robotics, design and nature
NON-HUMAN HABITAT IS AN OUGOING TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH ON ROBOTICS, DESIGN AND POTENTIAL OUTCOME OF NATURAL MATERIALS IN DESIGN RESEARCH. THE DESIGN AIMS TO MIMIC A NATURAL FORM, IMPERFECT-PERFECT WITH THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE REAL BEHAVIOUR OF NON HUMAN LIFE- TO ALLOW DESIGNED AGENCY TO SUPPORT POTENTIAL FUTURE HABITAT LOSS. THE DESIGNS ARE TO PROVIDE A SAFE HABITAT DUE TO THE
LOSS OF NATURAL HABITAT FOR NON HUMANS- IN THIS RESEARCH THE SPECIES IS BEES. THE DESIGN ITSELF IS A SERIES OF EXPLORATIONS- THE TECHNOLOGICAL PRODUCTION, THE STABILITY CONSIDERATION, ADAPTABILITY AND FUNCTION AWAY FROM HUMAN INTERVENTION AFTER THE PRODUCT IS INSTALLED. THE DESIGN IS AN EXTENSION OF NATURAL HABITAT. AND WHILE HUMAN DESIGNED, IT IS MERGING WITH THE NATURAL ENVIORNMENT.

Design Review
IN THE RESEARCH, UNFOLDING A SYSTEMATIC CONTROL OVER A SINGLE IDEA TO BE REPLICATED BASED ON REQUIRED FUNCTIONS WITH ABILITY TO INTERLOCK VERTICALLY BASED ON CURVED WALLS AND GRAVITY POINTS. THIS DESIGN IS A TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH, AND WHILE SHOWCASING ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN OF THE FUTURE IT ALSO CO-EXIST WITH THE CURRENT TIME- ISSUES- PROBLEM SOLVING REALM.

The script has rules that can be adjusted based on the behaviour of of the material.
As still in search the clay is till being monitored for its behaviour around, temperature, gravity, and speed of bobotic arm and extruder. s
Example of the speculative outcome, that was later printed and baked using the robotic arm and clay.
