Biomass-based industry operators require intensive inventories to monitor the dynamic forest change rates and consequently to perform an optimal management of logistic and transports services. Industry private operators carry out extensive field campaigns, however small private owners have no capacity to inventory their woodlands. Regional or National Forest Inventories are available to cover this demand but the regular recurrence of sampling field campaigns are a far too long period to keep up and relay on accurate biomass estimations. The solution proposed by GMV covers the demand on monitoring with up-to-date information on the surface extension of woodlands and the biomass of available timber, not only the properties of the forestbased industry but also the raw material coming from external suppliers. It is a flexible service that supplies the catalogue of geo-information products with the conveniently considered regular recurrence.
