TIPS FROM TOP “ON-SITE Marketing“ Speaker - Mr Advit Sahdev, Head of Marketing, Infibeam.com He emphasized on how real-time data analysis of the customer’s footprint on the internet helps the product owners to influence the site layout and product search. “Revolutionary Innovation in Banking Industry” Speaker – Mr Bhavesh Lakhani, CTO, SBI Mutual Fund He talked about the shift in paradigms of banking industry and the key to innovation there being effective change management. “GI Barometer – A commentary on macro-economic situation across global industries” Speaker – Mr Satish Rajarathnam, HRBP of Cognizant. He shared his thoughts about a region-wise analysis of the world, the political risk at present and vertical view of the financial services.

ACCOLADES • Thejas Sairam and Adhavan RK from MBA 1st year were declared Winners in the Investment competition, Dstreet at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) • Yash Gupta and Varun Panthri from MBA 1st year were declared Runner up in the operations & finance case-study competition, Comminique at Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management (SITM)

ALUMNI CORNER Mr. Shashank Saini takes over a new role as VicePresident (Transaction Advisory Services) at EY. He is a 2010 pass out of MBA, DIME-IIT Kanpur. He has over 11 years of experience across consulting and technology, through his career worked for Atos Origin, KPMG India and PwC India.

Mrs Abha Patankar (MBA-IIT Kanpur 2013-2015), is working with Microsoft as Program Manager. She briefed us about the concepts of cloud and agile life-cycle in detail

RECUERDOS’19 The month of June passed by with the fumes of nostalgia on one part and the excitement on the other. With the efforts of Alumni Relations Committee, Recuerdos'19, alumni meets were conducted across India through which alums revived their years at IIT KANPUR and shared their rich experience and valuable insights of the business world with the batch of 18-20. On the other side, the budding leaders were applying their thoroughly learned business concepts across domains in their Summer Internships. Interns were appreciated throughout their tenure and left their mark in respective organizations. Not only the concepts but also the managerial skills that the students have developed through conducting different events like Business and Entrepreneurial events in Techkriti '19, Admissions of the batch 19-21, Prabandhan'18, etc. came in use for performing different tasks assigned by the corporate as per the individual experiences. We all agree to one thing that all the hardships faced by us during this rigorous one year in b-school has definitely transformed us professionally for the better and prepared us to face any situation that comes our way.
