This thesis project proposes the design of a museum narrating the past of the historical region of Nanchinad. The study highlights an attempt to commemorate the past,cure the present and caution the future through an architectural intervention -A museum for educating the people about the complexities of Nanchinad’s history.
This approach offers a journey for users through different ruling dynasties and their significant contributions in a chronological order. Also a unique perspective is explored on Nanchinad’s transition over the years, highlighting the crucial role of agriculture, economy, and socio-cultural aspects in shaping its history. The museum would celebrate Nanchinad's unique cultural heritage and traditions, fostering a sense of identity and pride among the local community. Also it can contribute to the revenue generation of the natives and can be a source of employment for the community.
