Women at their best, working to help other women to be their best
Soroptimist was formed in 1921 in Oakland, California, at a time when women were not permitted to join service organizations. Our name, loosely translated, means best for women. Soroptimist International has clubs in more than 120 countries throughout the world.
Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.
Women and girls will have the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams.

In the last 25 years, SIPK has given more than $350,000 in scholarships to women who are supporting families and seeking to break the cycle of poverty.
An annual conference held in partnership with our sister club, SI Three Rivers. The program focuses on areas where high-school girls need skills that will help them achieve their goals and live their dreams. They have the opportunity to speak with local women leaders in multiple professions to learn career options and the training required. Seniors who attend are eligible to apply for college scholarships.
Formed in partnership with SI Three Rivers, this group has worked since 2011 to bring awareness of human trafficking in our community through workshops, forums, and other programs
