In my work, I’ve tried to explore different design processes based on the kind of project that was dealt with. I believe that there isn’t a single way of solving design, and no solution is right or wrong, it’s only the efficiency of ‘problem solving’ the design can offer. In most of my projects, I’ve tried to base my design on the core concerns the site challenged. I’ve tried to identify these concerns and solved them in the best of my ability and knowledge. My work follows themes of reinvention, experimentation and conceptual metaphors. Through experimental and playful articulation of design concept, I’ve tried to create a possible scenario through iterative virtual modelling. I believe that Architecture is all about experimentation and exploration. It is a challenge in itself to be experimental, only then designs can be innovative. To make mistakes in order to better a design, and the only mistake is that from which we learn nothing. Learning is a continuous growth curve and in the end you only regret the chances you don’t take.

This portfolio comprises a selection of my architectural works from my professional career. Over the course of 28 months, I have consistently demonstrated a strong inclination towards problem-solving and a genuine passion for addressing real-world challenges. Each project has provided valuable learning experiences. My career has cultivated a powerful skill set in the creation of architectural drawings and visuals, enabling me to effectively communicate my ideas and concepts. I am particularly adept at producing clear and expressive 3D drawings to articulate my visions. Further details about my skill set can be found in the subsequent sections of this portfolio. Thank you for your valuable time.

In a captivating architectural venture, this project embraces the splendid essence of Victorian-style magnificence, meticulously reimagined within the vibrant landscapes of India. Envisioned are homes adorned with resplendent coffered ceilings, gracefully sloping roofs, and charming dormer windows, transporting admirers back to an era of timeless elegance. The canvas for this grand vision measures 25m X 18m, providing an ideal playground for the manifestation of architectural brilliance. The client's aspiration is to bring forth two distinct, individual houses, gracefully perched atop each other, each boasting its private accesses.
The couple are young entrepreuners who loved travelling and had a liking for european style of architecture. Their favourite is the Architecture of the Victorian era. They are keen on having their house to be designed in a victorian fashion with all the accessories and appearances. This is applicable for the interiors as well as the exterior look. So, the aim is to achieve that arrangement of spaces and provide for the victorian look. They are looking for two joint residential units: the ground floor for their parent and the first floor for themselves somehow internally connected, yet having private access of their own.
The exterior, as observed, followed the victorian style of architecture with it’s details, sloping roof and the dormer window. However, the internal planning was based on the traditional vastu with spaces falling in cardinal directions as per the vastu. The idea was to bring in a cozy ambience with a hint of ornamentation This ornamentation with a modern touch to it formulated the design.
The construction of the project was completed on 2nd June 2022 and handed over to the clients. Given here is an image of the project on site. Below illustrations are various spaces that were designed following the themes of victorian style of Architecture. The essence of the design continued into the interior spaces as well, including elements such as cornices, wall mouldings, coffered ceilings, etc.
The project was a small scaled robust outdoor restaurant (Dhaba in Punjabi) in Ranchi Highway. The clients expected a low cost construction and affordable materials. Clay bricks were the abundantly available local material due to a brick kiln at close proximity hence it was extensively used. The site in possession was an extremely linear site measuring 10m x 300m. The design was hence broken down into modules. each module having a fixed number of seating which has the flexibility to convert, combine, expand, and replace.
The conceptual drawings here show the arrangement of modules across the lines site. Each module placed against one edge, and the edge having a driveway for service and maintenance. The entrance module houses the reception, waiting lounge and above it is a large seating area to host larger gatherings
The dhaba design offered two major challenges - i) The site being extremely linear; and ii) The project being a low cost construction. In order to tackle these challenges, locally available materials were explored and an idea of modularity was introduced.
The spaces were designed to compliment and let the user experience the rugged and raw materials in it's robust form. Simultaneously, these spaces were intertwined with the daylight and lush green thick vegetations to give a serene experience. The washroom backdrop shown above did not have any design, instead it had the thick vegetation behind letting nature do it's aesthetic magic. The walkway had abundunt daylight coming through it with periodic presence of creepers to let the users experience a sense of freshness as they walked through it.
The modules were designed to have either 2 tables of 4 occupancy or 1 large table of 10 occupancy giving the users a sense of private seating within secluded modules. The central large module on the first floor could host about 30 people for larger gatherings. The roof of the modules were designed to bring in lights and creeper plants on the edge wall.
