Auto Marine’s modern production and storage facility in Manchester is open 24 hours a day producing over 100 million metres of cable each year. Auto Marine‘s large stock holding enables us to fulfil our customer requirements with ex stock delivery on the majority of our catalogue products.

Cable products

Cable Wiring Components

Single core cables from 0.35mm² up to 10mm² with an extensive range of single colours, bi-colours and tri-colours. Battery cables from 16mm² up to 150mm², twins and multi cores up to 15 cores.

Auto Marine offers a comprehensive selection of wiring components suitable for both the aftermarket and original equipment manufacturers.

Printing Text or numbers on cable from 0.50 mm² up to 150mm² with either black or yellow ink.

Auto Marine Cables Production Facility

CABLE packaging Cardboard Reels

The majority of cables manufactured by Auto Marine Cables are supplied on non returnable cardboard reels. Each cable and length is matched up to the correct reel to ensure that reels used are always sized correctly, once empty the reel can be recycled.

Euro slot polythene bags

Customers who are selling to the retail or DIY sector can purchase pre cut lengths of popular cables. Each length is supplied in a euro slot sealed polythene bag with a label.

Box Pack Cable Volume users of single core cables are now opting for the very popular form of packing known as ‘Box Pack’.

No expensive de-reeling equipment is required when using these boxes. Simply place the box where it is needed and start using the cable directly from the box, resulting in less downtime in production when compared to using reels.

All our boxes conform to health and safety lifting regulations.

Long lengths up to 6000 mtrs keeping production waste to a minimum.

Each half box weighs less than 25 kilos when full and can be despatched by parcel carrier.

Each standard box weighs less then 50 kilos when full and can be lifted safely by two people.

Half Box Dimensions: 27cm x 39cm x 39cm (HxWxD).

Standard Box Dimensions: 49cm x 39cm x 39cm (HxWxD).

Wooden Drums On heavier cables and longer lengths, non returnable plywood drums are used. These vary in size depending on the cable cross section and length required.

Low Voltage Cable

THIN WALL SINGLE CORE AUTO CABLES High temperature thin wall low voltage wiring cables suitable for use in the automotive, marine and allied industries. These cables are specified as standard by manufacturers throughout Europe due to their high performance characteristics.

Manufactured in accordance with ISO6722-1 2011 (Class B).

Suitable for 12v or 24v systems (Maximum voltage 60v).

Plain Copper Conductors – PVC Insulated.

Suitable for use at temperatures from -40ºC to +105ºC with excursions up to +120ºC. Reduced insulation gives considerable savings in weight and volume especially when used in large wiring harnesses.

Good resistance to petrol, diesel, lubricating oils and diluted acids.

Good resistance to moisture.

Hard grade PVC insulation offers good resistance to abrasion and cut through.

Tinned Low Voltage Cable

TINNED COPPER Single Core CABLEs High temperature thin wall low voltage wiring cables suitable for use in the automotive, marine and other harsh environments. The tinned copper conductors make this cable more resistant to corrosion.

Specification Manufactured in accordance with ISO6722-1 2011 (class B).

Suitable for 12v and 24v systems (maximum 60v).

Tinned Copper Conductors – PVC Insulated.

Suitable for use at temperatures from -40ºC to +105ºC with excursions up to +120ºC. Reduced insulation gives considerable savings in weight and volume.

Good resistance to petrol, diesel, lubricating oils and diluted acid.

Very good resistance to moisture.

Hard grade PVC insulation offers good resistance to abrasion and cut through.

Cables are printed with the specification on the insulation.

DOUBLE INSULATED BATTERY / WELDING CABLES

CROSS SECTION

Double insulated extra flexible battery / welding cables designed to withstand severe climatic and mechanical conditions. Resistant to petrol, lubricating oils and diluted acids. The sheath is flexible in both high and low temperatures and is flame retardant. Manufactured in accordance with BS638 part 4 standard. *Tinned copper conductors – high temperature separator. Butyl rubber insulation – rubber sheath 85ºC.

Crocodile Clips & Jump Leads HEAVY DUTY JUMP LEADS

Heavy duty jump leads (35mm² - 50mm²). Each set is produced using high grade multi strand copper conductors and is sheathed with flexible PVC. The heavy duty steel crocodile clips are fitted with an extra strong spring and are fully insulated in either black or red. All clips are fitted with heavy duty tinned braided copper links to withstand higher amperages.

Individually packed in a heavy duty clip handled polythene bag with user safety instructions printed on the reverse.
