Happy New Year from Autobahn!

Welcome to the first issue of FASTLANE, where we’ll highlight some of the newest models from each of our brands and provide a few other noteworthy dealership updates.

As global car shortages continue, we wanted to provide a brief update on the status of our new vehicle inventory, just so you'll know straight from the source. We hope that our current and upfront information helps your family plan ahead when considering your next new car.

Originally, we were going to provide details for each manufacturer and model, but it quickly became clear this would be more complicated than necessary and the information outdated too quickly. With news from the manufacturers changing every week, our sincere and best advice is to call your sales advisor and let them know the model(s) you are most interested in, and they'll provide accurate guidance, timeline estimates, and the best plan for you.

However, here are a few specifics for some of our models. Delivery times for vehicles such as the Porsche Macan and smaller Land Rover SUVs are about 3-4 months away. Whereas, locally built cars like Volkswagen SUVs, BMW SAVs, and a few electric vehicles like the Volvo XC40 Recharge have a lead time of a month or two. For the majority of our vehicles, this summer is a good overall estimate. There is *some* good news. Over the past few weeks we have started to receive some inventory allocations available for immediate delivery. We've also modified our websites to now show all available IN-TRANSIT cars arriving within a few weeks.

BMW Drive to End Hunger For the last four years, BMW has proudly assisted in providing 9.3 million meals to people in need through Feeding America. And in November, BMW held it’s annual Drive to End Hunger Test Drive Event where every test drive produces 200 meals for people in need.

In addition, Autobahn BMW donated $20 to Feeding America for each test drive, providing even more meals to those in need.

Feeding America is a nationwide network of food banks and the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief organization, providing food to more than 40 million people through 60,000 food pantries and meal programs.

Cowtown Marathon Sponsor Autobahn Fort Worth is a proud sponsor of the Cowtown Marathon, and in 2021, we kicked off the start of the marathon with this gorgeous Volkswagen Atlas “Cowtown Edition,” along with many other event pace cars.

This VW Atlas spent the majority of it’s time supporting the Cowtown C.A.L.F.(Children’s Activities for Life and Fitness) Program, which promotes a lifelong love of fitness and provides running shoes, financial grants for entry fees, and training for children in need across North Texas.

In 2020, the program donated 5,000 pairs of shoes and made financial grants. And for the past 11 years, the program awarded 40,000 pairs of new shoes.

ACH Christmas Party For many, many years now, Autobahn Fort Worth has been supporting ACH Child and Family Services, and this year, we continued that tradition with our Christmas Party!

Santa Claus made an early visit to Autobahn BMW, delivering presents to all the kids! And in a Range Rover first, the Long Wheelbase version can be optioned with a 3rd row to accommodate 7 passengers.

The Range Rover will initially be available with a mild-hybrid engine with 305hp and 406 lb-ft of torque and the gasoline 4.4-liter V8 engine with 523 HP and 553 lb-ft of torque, letting it launch from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds with Dynamic Launch engaged! A plug-in hybrid version will be available for the 2023 model year, and in 2024, Land Rover will be releasing an all-electric model.

2021 Jaguar F-Pace

For 2021, the Jaguar F-PACE received a refreshed interior and exterior and new standard features. For the interior, the infotainment has been updated with the 11.4-inch Pivi infotainment system and includes Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. In addition, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system and wireless phone charging are also available on the F-PACE! The F-PACE now has more oversized intakes, all-new LED headlights, and a diamond pattern grille for the exterior. The taillights and front and rear bumpers have been reworked as well. The F-PACE is available for pre-orders, and you can expect a turnaround time of 2-3 months after ordering.

Volvo’s goal of being carbon neutral by 2040 has taken the next step via a new collaboration with Electrify America. Starting for the 2022 model year, all Volvo pure electric vehicles will come with 250 kWh of complimentary charging on Electrify America’s network, to be used within the first three years. As of writing, Electrify America has 635 public fast-charging stations all over America. Plus, Volvo’s affiliation with Chargepoint ensures Volvo drivers will have easy access to thousands of public charging stations all over the country.

Two trims are available for the C40 Recharge: Plus and Ultimate.

Ultimate is indeed the ultimate with options like the oversized fixed Panoramic Moonroof, Pixel LED lighting, Pilot Assist, Harman Kardon Premium Sound, 360° Surround View Camera, and Unique 20” wheels included in the trim. Pricing starts at $59,845, and you can preorder it at volvocars.us. First US customer deliveries will begin in January 2022.

2022 BMW iX xDrive50

2021 Volkswagen ID.4

When the Volkswagen ID.4 was introduced in 2020, VW promised an “electric vehicle for the millions, not the millionaires,” and in 2021, VW succeeded. With a starting MSRP of $39,995(or as low as $32,495 after the federal tax credit), the dream of an affordable, all-electric vehicle is here.

2022 Volkswagen Golf R

After a short hiatus, the Golf R is back and better than before! Like the GTI, the exterior, interior, and engine all receive updates that make the Golf R the hottest hatch on the planet!

The new Golf R gets a revised 2-liter turbocharged engine with 315 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, and the 4Motion all-wheel-drive system is also updated with a rear differential that can send 100% of power to an individual rear wheel. And for the first time, the Golf R now has drift mode!

Like the GTI, the Golf R comes standard with a 6-speed manual, and the manual transmission is a North American special. The European GTI and R’s can’t get a stick shift.

The Golf R shares an interior with the GTI but with Golf R exclusive options like a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel with R-specific shifter paddles for the DSG, heated and ventilated front Nappa leather seats, and heated rear seats. Front Assist (forward collision warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking with pedestrian and cyclist monitoring), Adaptive Cruise Control, and the IQ.DRIVE suite of driver assistance technology is standard on both the Golf R and GTI.

As the ultimate hot hatchback, the Golf R will only be offered in one fully-loaded trim, with the choice of a manual or automatic. The manual starts at $44,640 MSRP, and the automatic is an $800 option.

As with any GTS variant of any Porsche, the Taycan GTS is the perfect example of an everyday driver. Available in two body styles, the Taycan sedan and the wagon-like Sport Turismo, the choice for more storage is yours.

The Taycan GTS models wear the SportDesign front fascia, side skirts, and side window trim in black.
