CONTROL SYSTEMS

SOLAR CONTROLLERS
The MS3D is a standard differential solar pump controller for solar pool heating. It can be used on any solar pool heating system and is designed to give you year round automatic control of your system.
The MS3D has pool and roof sensors that detect the sun’s heat and compare your pool temperature to your preset “comfort” temperature to decide when to heat the pool.
The MS3D-UD unit is designed to give you year round automatic control of your solar pool heating, employing a pump and a simple one pipe up, one pipe down solar collector. This is ideal for the replacement of any controller as you do not need to access the roof to change the sensor.
The unit contains a supercap backed up real time clock, so time and critical operation data is maintained after a short power failure.
The unit will periodically sense and determine if the water coming down from the solar collector can heat the pool. There is a black out period from a variable stop time between 2pm and 7pm to a fixed start time of 8am when no automatic pump operation can occur.

How to measure a cartridge
Measure length from the outside
Measure the outside diameter (OD) of the cartridge. Do not include any and the inside diameter (ID) of hole raised steps, handles or threads.

Because a filter is designed to collect unwanted particles, debris, oils, soaps etc, it will need to be cleaned periodically. The more the pool or spa is used, the more often the cartridge requires cleaning. For very high usage: every 2-3 weeks to low usage: every 6-8 weeks. A blocked cartridge can put undue pressure on the pump/motor and decrease the life of it.
When to replace a cartridge
Over a period of time a cartridge will gradually block up and will need replacing. There are three factors in determining whether a cartridge needs replacing:
1. The cartridge gets blocked quickly and cleaning is required frequently.
2. Restricted water flow and high differential pressure (differential pressure is the difference between the pressure coming in and the pressure going out, caused by a blocked cartridge.
3. A cracked or damaged cartridge. This is very rare and is generally caused by high differential pressure.
Same same…. But different !?!
Some cartridges are identical in size but the difference is the amount of filter material (number of pleats). Manufacturers of filter housings do this so they can use the same housing for different size pools and spas. If the filter housing does not stipulate the size of the cartridge (eg 50, 75sq ft) it is recommended that you "over spec" than "under spec" (eg 75 rather than 50sq ft). If it has more square footage than it needs it will generally last longer.

SUPPLY
Austral Pool Solutions reserves the right to refuse any orders for whatever reason without prejudice to its other rights and remedies even if the goods ordered have been prepaid (subject only to refund of the prepayment less administration charge of 5% prepayment)
PAYMENT
Generally, payment for order is due prior to dispatch or cash on delivery. For customers with approved credit terms, payment is due strictly at the last day of the month following delivery of goods. Credit facilities may be reviewed if previous month's account is not paid in full. Overdue accounts are subject to an interest charge of two per centum (2%) per month, calculated on a monthly basis from the month following due date to the month of payment.
RISK & INSURANCE
Risk of damage to or loss of the goods shall pass to the Purchaser at the time of delivery or to the carrier of the Purchaser whichever comes first. If arranging transport Austral Pool Solutions acts as agent for the Purchaser only. Insurance shall be at the cost and responsibility of the Purchaser. Claims for loss, damage, incorrect supply, short deliveries or any other non-conformity to the description will only be recognised if notified by the Purchaser to the Seller within 7 days of dispatch of the goods.
RETURNS
Goods returned for credit will not be accepted without prior approval and the goods returned must be in as new condition and proof of purchase is required. Freight must be prepaid or the goods will either not be accepted or the amount of freight will be deducted from the credit total. Goods may be subject to a handling charge of 10% of the invoice price.
DELIVERY FEE
Metro: All metropolitan deliveries are charged a fee (currently $12.00 + GST) Country: F.O.B ex Balcatta. The metro delivery fee applies to all orders that require us to deliver to your nominated carrier.
These amounts are subject to change at any time without further notification. Account customers who collect orders ex Balcatta will not be charged this fee.
C.O.D SALES
Orders that are collected by COD customers that are less than the specified amount (currently $100 excluding GST) are subject to a handling fee (currently $11.00 excluding GST)
TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP
a) Ownership of and title to any goods delivered by Austral Pool Solutions to the Purchaser shall remain with Austral Pool Solutions until payment in full for the goods and all other outstanding amounts by the Purchaser have been paid in full.
b) Whilst ownership of and title to the goods remains with Austral Pool Solutions the Purchaser agrees to hold any goods delivered to the Purchaser in trust for Austral Pool Solutions and shall store such goods in a manner that they are clearly identified as the property of Austral Pool Solutions.
c) Austral Pool Solutions shall be entitled to take possession of any such goods held in trust by the Purchaser if the Purchaser is in default and for this purpose is hereby authorised to enter any property or premises (if necessary by reasonable force) where it reasonably expects or assumes the goods are held and remove the goods at any time and the Purchaser hereby appoints Austral Pool Solutions.
d) Notwithstanding the provisions of the previous subclauses the Purchaser (being a retailer or trader) may sell the goods to a third party in the ordinary course of his/her/its business and deliver the goods to that party subject to the following conditions:
(i) Where the Purchaser receives payment by the third party such payment shall be held (and is deemed to be held) by the Purchaser in trust for Austral Pool Solutions and the Purchaser shall account to Austral Pool Solutions according to the law of trust for such proceeds.
(ii) Where the Purchaser has not paid for the goods so disposed of the Purchaser hereby assigns the debt owing (save for this provision) to him/her/it to Austral Pool Solutions who shall be entitled to demand payment of and collect the amount payable by the third party and the Purchaser hereby appoints Austral Pool Solutions as its agent for that purpose.
WARRANTY
All goods are sold subject to the warranties provided by the respective manufacturers. Austral Pool Solutions does not accept any claims beyond those warranties but will endeavour to obtain, on behalf of its customers, replacement or repair of faulty items subject to the manufacturers warranty conditions. Freight for return of faulty items and replacement items is at the Purchaser's cost.
