Dr Peter Dean, (2014, Australian National University to Georgetown University) launched a new book in November 2016 based on his Fulbright research. Australia's American Alliance has received praise from various high profile figures including John Howard, former Australian Prime Minister; and John Hamre, President and CEO of CSIS and former U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defence.

Krysten Keches, (2010, Harvard University to Australian National University) hosted a harp master class and featured in the Berkshire Symphony in Chapin Hall on the Williams College campus in November 2016.

Stephane Shepherd, (2015, Swinburne University to University of Nebraska-Lincoln and UCLA) presented a lecture on his Fulbright research entitled Assessing the Needs of Indigenous People in Custody: looking beyond law and order at the University of Sydney, November 2016.

Sarah Holland-Batt, (2010, University of Queensland to New York University) won the Council of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences 2016 Australia Future Leader Prize, and the Prime Minister's Literary Award for poetry for her recent publication, The Hazards.

Steven Segal, (1998, University of California, Berkeley to University of Sydney) delivered several lectures across Melbourne and Sydney in November 2016 via the Fulbright Alumni Initiative Grant. The lectures followed on from his previous Fulbright research into mental health policy, focusing on the effectiveness of Community Treatment Orders.

7 Michelle Deshong, (2015, James Cook University to University of Arizona) was appointed as CEO of the new Australian Indigenous Governance Institute at the Australian National University in December 2016.
