always true. A person can be under attack from a demon within or outside of their own being.

THINKING ALLOWED Austin Menzi Snr.

Occult Level Spiritual Warfare Dealings with the occult give demons a strong grasp in our lives. By delving into the occult, not only are we directly rebelling against God, but we are putting ourselves at risk for emotional, spiritual and physical baggage. This level of warfare deals with demonic forces who have been attached to individuals or families.

SPIRITUAL WARS ARE JUST THAT SPRITUAL - YOU CANNOT FIGHT THEM IN THE FLESH Spiritual wars are not for every Dick, Tom and Harry. They are much more complex than physical wars. In a physical war, when you get injured, you will go to hospital to receive care and recover after a while. You may need to go to the gym to get physical fitness so that you are flexible enough to maneuver when the need comes.

They will have encounters with demons, and Satanic elements within our society. The majority of Christians will not be involved in warfare at this level, however we should all be prepared for such a situation. Advanced warfare can be broken down into three levels:

In Spiritual warfare, it is totally different. Spiritual warfare is a direct battle between the forces of good and evil - the fight against Satan and his servants. There are Christians who have been and will be engaging in a formal battle with Satan.

Ground Level Spiritual Warfare This level consists of deliverance from demonic forces interfering with personal lives. When using the word deliverance we often assume that demonic possession of a person is involved. This is sometimes but not

Cosmic Level Spiritual Warfare Here we are dealing with higher ranking demonic powers. These powers have more significant assignments, such as social networks or territories. In both basic and advanced levels of warfare there is a very important ingredient which comes second only to knowing God, it is knowing our enemy. In every war, physical or spiritual getting to know the enemy is of great importance. If we know when the enemy is most likely to attack, and how he is most likely to attack, there is no question we will be able to better stand strong against him. 1 John 4:4. From time to time, we will leave our physical bodies to go and assist in fighting these wars and come back. Though complex and demanding, it is real. More next week...... Till next week, Adios.

Pretoria - The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose to 6.6% in May breaching the Reserve Bank’s inflation target range for a second month in a row, Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) announced on Wednesday. The CPI came in at 6.1% in April breaching the central bank’s 3 to 6% inflation target range. According to Stats SA, the food and nonalcoholic beverages index rose by 0.9%, while the annual rate increased to 8.8%. Market consensus was for CPI to come in at 6.5%. “We expect inflation to remain elevated during the remainder of this year and into the first half of 2015 due to a fragile rand and higher food prices,” said Nedbank economists. At its May meeting the Reserve Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) kept the repo rate unchanged at 5.5%. In its June Monetary Policy Review (MPR), the bank projected that inflation will remain above the target range for an extended time. In the review, the bank noted: “Overall, inflation in South Africa is projected to be above target for an extended period of time, with risks tilted towards higher

inflation. Over the longer term, this necessitates higher interest rates, and therefore a tightening cycle.” On Wednesday Nedbank said the central bank faces the dilemma of striking a balance between weak growth and rising inflation. “However, the Governor [Gill Marcus] has made it clear that the rate-hiking cycle has begun, but the extent and speed of tightening will be data dependent. The first quarter gross domestic product data and continuing turmoil in the mining sector decrease the likelihood of an early rate hike. “Any further tightening this year would be on rand weakness. We think that this may happen later in the year but that the main interest rate up cycle will only resume in late 2015 after the US starts raising interest rates,” said Nedbank. In the first quarter of 2013 Gross Domestic Product (GDP), data showed that seasonally adjusted GDP at market prices slumped at an annualised rate of 0.6% for the first quarter of 2014. – SAnews.gov.za

HIV MAY EXTEND WOMAN RAPED ON HER LIFE SPAN WAY TO THE TOILET The virus that causes AIDS has been altered so that it can change the human genome in ways that could improve and extend the lives of people with a multiplicity of diseases - including HIV itself. Scientists have been conducting experiments on the use of viruses for gene therapy since the late 1990s. Natural selection has been honing the capacity of viruses to work their way into cells for millions of years. If we can take advantage of that capacity to deliver beneficial genes the potential uses for medicine could be endless. Not all viruses are equally

suited to this task. The immune system recognizes many viruses and attacks them. Other potential carriers are genetically unstable, making them unsuitable to the task. Naturally it is also essential that any virus used is either harmless, or has been modified to make it so. In eLIFE three medical researchers from Aarhus University, Denmark, describe “adapting lentiviral vectors as carriers of designer nuclease proteins, providing efficient targeted gene disruption in vector-treated cell lines and primary cells. Enzymes developed by

microorganisms to slice viral DNA have been used as so called scissors in gene therapy, but the targeting has improved in recent years with the creation of hybrid enzymes. “Now we can simultaneously cut out the part of the genome that is broken in sick cells, and patch the gap that arises in the genetic information which we have removed from the genome. The new aspect here is that we can bring the scissors and the patch together in the HIV particles in a fashion that no one else has done before," says author associate Professor Jacob Giehm Mikkelsen. iflscience.com

By Sisanda Mabizela A case of rape was reported at the police station in the small town of Ermelo in Mpumalanga. The victim was a 43 year old woman. The incident occurred on the 31st May just after midnight. It's alleged that the lady was sleeping in her sister's house at Nyibe a place next to Ermelo. Apparently early in the morning she woke up to use the toilet which is outside, and on her way to the

toilet she was confronted by a man, he then forced her to lie down on the ground. It is assumed that she had struggled to get up or fight for herself. The man stabbed her with a knife on the neck three times and once on her left breast, he then raped her and fled. She immediately reported the case to her sister and was taken to Ermelo hospital. The police are still investigating.

MEC to open a school every week Government Gauteng MEC for Education, Panyaza Lusufi, has announced that from next month his department will open a new school every week, until the end of the year. Speaking at the launch of a new high school in Soweto, the MEC said in total 17 schools will be opened in a bid to ensure that every child in the province gets education closer to where they stay. “We want every child to get a good education in a good school,” he said. He added that his department was determined to ensure that every learner in the province was able to compete at international standards. MEC Lesufi and Gauteng Premier David Makhura handed over the

newly built Freedom Park Secondary School in Devland, in Soweto, on Thursday. The new school, which will accommodate about 1000 learners from the area, will be open for learning during the fourth quarter of the year. The state-of-the-art school boasts 25 classrooms, three laboratories, a computer room and a library. It further features a sports facility building, soccer or rugby ground, canteen and courts for netball, tennis and/or basketball. MEC Lusufi appealed to the local community to take good care of the school.

Mandla Sithole, a parent who came to witness the handing over of the new school, told SAnews he was grateful for the school as it will reduce the long distances learners have to travel to neighbouring townships to get to school. “It is a big relief,” he said. Gauteng Premier David Makhura told the community members gathered at the event that the school reaffirmed government’s commitment to provide state of the art infrastructure to communities which have been previously under serviced. “We are still going to build more schools, houses and hospitals,” he said. – SAnews.gov.za

Will Not Nationalise Pension Funds Government once again reassured South Africans that it has no plans to nationalise people’s hard earned pension funds. It should also be noted that those cashing out their pension or provident funds before retirement will not only get less money than they would had they preserved, but they may be taxed on early withdrawals and no longer enjoy the tax advantages. The various retirement reform proposals seek to: Encourage individuals to provide adequately for their own retirement and the needs of their dependents and to provide for retirement funding as part of the remuneration contract. Make retirement funding arrangements cost-efficient, prudently managed, transparent and fair. For more information contact: 0800 117 669.

SANRAL celebrates women in infrastructure development The empowerment of women in infrastructure development was reinforced and celebrated at a roundtable discussion hosted by the South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) to commemorate Women's Month. The event was addressed by Deputy Minister of Transport Sindisiwe Chikunga who emphasised that women must play a more important role in the economy of the country. "Traditionally, women and engineering were not two words that went together. But that older world ethos has changed. From a base of 20 or so a decade ago, there are about 1000 women engineering undergraduates currently studying at South African universities and technikons. "However, despite the progress made in closing the gender gap and making more opportunities available for women in business, South Africa's construction industry is one place where being a woman is still a major challenge," said Chikunga. in infrastructure development "To help address the underrepresentation of women, government has invested R3.2 trillion towards infrastructure investment projects with R845 billion earmarked for the implementation of infrastructure programmes. She said she wanted to see 50% of women in managerial positions and more women engineers working with SANRAL. Nompumelelo Pakade, SAWIC (South African Women in Construction) National President said: "It is imperative that contractor development programmes (CDP) are cemented to promote skills

CDPs create an enabling environment for contractor development, allowing for targets to be set, the growth process to be monitored and evaluation to be conducted at the end of a particular period." 12 Myths About Credit Reports Exposed ! @khanyisamedia

Khanyisa Newspaper

The subject of credit has always been surrounded by myths and urban legends, and for years, many people have been confused and sometimes even afraid when it came to learning about credit reports and scores. We'll help take the mystery out of understanding your credit by dispelling some popular credit myths. MYTH 1: It is a myth that your credit record can only be accessed by credit lenders. FACT: You can access your own credit record any time you like. This can be done once a year for free from each of the credit bureaus, or for a small fee at any other time during the year. MYTH 2: It is a myth that you can be blacklisted by credit bureaus if you are a bad payer. FACT: Credit bureaus cannot 'blacklist' you. All they do is record your credit behaviour, both good and bad. So this means that a one-sided report showing only negative information is impossible, and

therefore being blacklisted is also impossible. MYTH 3: It is a myth that credit bureaus are responsible for deciding whether to give you credit or not. FACT: Credit bureaus do not decide whether or not to give you credit. They just store information about how you have paid your debt in the past, and on approval, give this information to people wanting to give you credit. MYTH 4: It is a myth that you cannot challenge your credit report if you think it is wrong. FACT: If you think the information on your credit report is inaccurate, you have every right to challenge it at any time. MYTH 5 Once a credit score is bad, it can never be rebuilt. FACT A credit report is really a credit history, and credit can be rebuilt over time. It doesn't just show the way things are today; it keeps a

record of all credit opened in a consumer's name. It will indicate which items are closed or inactive, but the history remains nonetheless. Late or missed payments can stay on someone's report for up to seven years. Rebuilding credit means paying on time, looking for better credit options, and learning more about money and credit. Additionally, the longer a credit history is without negative information, such as late payments, the better. The older negative information is, the less significant it becomes. MYTH 6 Checking a credit report will hurt your score. FACT If consumers access their own credit reports, it does not have any effect on their credit scores. Reviewing a credit report results in what is called a “soft pull,” or “soft inquiry,” meaning it will only be seen on a personal credit report. When a consumer applies for credit, the lender will review the applicant's credit report, and a “hard inquiry” will be added. Hard inquiries are shown to other lenders because they may represent new debt that doesn't yet show on a credit report as an

account. Hard inquiries can affect credit scores. Everyone should check their reports at least annually. It's part of good credit management. MYTH 7 A divorce does not impact credit scores. FACT Divorce proceedings don't affect credit reports or credit scores directly. However, the financial issues that are embroiled in the divorce process often involve joint credit accounts, and those very much affect credit history and credit scores. MYTH 8 The best way to improve credit scores is to pay off all accounts and close them. FACT It's actually partly true. Paying off all debts is one of the fastest ways to improve credit scores. Closing accounts, though, can hurt credit scores. One of the most important elements in credit scores is the proportion of total balances to the total credit limits. Paying off debts lowers that proportion, improving credit scores. However, closing accounts eliminates some of the

available credit limits, making the balances appear to be higher compared to the overall limits. MYTH 9 Asking for lower limits will help your credit. FACT Having sizable credit limits is a good thing for your scores, as long as you don't use them to run up debt. Lenders like to see a big gap between your available limits and the amount of credit you're actually using. A lower limit reduces that gap, which can be bad news for your credit scores. Of course, if you can't trust yourself not to use your available credit, the damage to your credit scores may be the least of your worries. Otherwise, though, you probably should leave your credit limits alone. MYTH 10 Only credit card companies and financial lenders are interested in my credit. Find out the answer to this one and more in our next issue. Do not miss out. Your local dealer where you got this copy will assist you. Source: Credit Bureau Association

Self-healing Polymer Restores Itself In Minutes

R

esearchers at Germany's Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) have developed a self-healing polymer that can mend itself and fully restore its mechanical properties in just a few minutes when heated at low temperatures. The material could be used to create self-repairing sealants, scratch-resistant paints, and more reliable fiber-reinforced plastic components. Self-healing polymers are extemely attractive materials, but creating the "ideal" polymer is far from easy, and compromises are in order. So far, scientists have mainly approached the problem from two angles: they've either used a network of embedded microcapsules containing a healing agent (which can only heal the material a limited number of times), or materials that can heal

indefinitely because they are bound together by reversible chemical reactions (but need a large amount of energy as a catalyst). The research team headed by Christopher Barner-Kowollik used a third approach. They created a "switchable network" of crosslinked fibers or small molecules that are bonded by a reversible chemical reaction. The peculiarity of this material is that the fibers can be broken down into their constituents and then reassembled again when heat is applied. There are several key advantages to the new approach: firstly, the self-healing process can be started by applying either heat, light, or a chemical substance; secondly, the healing requires only a few minutes when applying comparatively little heat (120°C/250°F); and lastly, the mechanical

properties of the material can be fully restored, and the polymer can keep breaking and healing in this way for a theoretically unlimited number of times. Barner-Kowollik and colleagues also found that their method can be applied to a number of other known plastics, and that it can be used to change the mechanical properties of the materials with a high degree of precision. Potential applications could include fiberreinforced plastic components, rapid prototyping, adhesives, composite materials, scratch-resistant paints, and self-healing sealants. The results of the research were published in the latest issue of the journal Advanced Materials. Source: KIT
