KIDZ CARE WEEKLONG CAMPS
Our Kidz Care Camp weeklong programs are designed to provide a fun and exciting week with two days of swimming, two in-house provider days*, one excursion trip, gym games, art projects and other activities. On swimming days, youth will be taken to a city of Aurora indoor or outdoor pool**, depending on the weather. A lunch and afternoon snack will be provided by Aurora Public Schools. Field trip locations vary from week to week and campers will be transported by school bus to the destination. Excursion and in-house providers are subject to change. If changes occur, parents/guardians will be notified as soon as possible.
*An in-house provider day is when outside organizations come to the camp location and provide unique experiences for campers.
**Campers who are 6 years old at the Meadowood Preschool location will be unable to participate in swimming. During swim times, 6-year-olds will be with a program leader who will provide alternate activities.

Provider Descriptions
ART STUDENTS LEAGUE OF DENVER (ASLD)
ASLD provides hands-on, in-depth art programs with instruction on a variety of mediums. The June 12 session will have a focus of chalk art, while the June 25 session will focus on visual arts.
AURORA WATER
Campers will get to learn about the water cycle, measuring snow and the water heroes that we have in the city of Aurora, who bring drinking water to our community. It is a great experience to learn about a community-based system.
BUTTERFLY PAVILION
The Butterfly Pavilion will visit camps twice this summer, bringing a unique program each time. The June 4 session will take learners on a journey to discover invertebrates from diverse environments around the globe, finding out more about habitats, characteristics and roles in their ecosystems. The July 9 class will show participants a wide array of pollinators, beyond the well-known honeybee and how they play crucial roles in their ecosystems.
DENVER AUDUBON
Uncover the superpowers that enable owls to hunt efficiently at night. Participants will examine owl wings, feet, skulls, beaks and will get to dissect owl pellets. Denver Audubon strives to protect birds, other wildlife and their habitats through education, conservation and research.
DENVER MAGIC ACADEMY
This session will provide hands-on instruction of magic tricks and techniques. Participants will learn these tactics as well as the traits of being a successful magician.
DENVER URBAN GARDENS
Join us on an exciting journey to discover the underground world of worms, our very own soil superheroes! In this class, kids get up close and personal with red wiggler worms, learning why they’re crucial for healthy soil and plants. Participants will explore a worm bin, find out what worms love to eat and get close and personal with our wriggly visitors.
DOWNTOWN AQUARIUM
Participants will discover how different species of sharks have adapted to become apex predators. They will learn about the unique anatomy and behaviors of sharks to see how these creatures spend their time and why they are necessary for balance in the ocean ecosystem.
INSPIRE TO LEARN AND IMAGINE
These programs offer a safe place for kids to enjoy playing, learning and creating, all while they build self-confidence and friendships. The June 5 session will be Lego® engineering where students will build different motorized models. The July 24 session will be a teamwork session focused on survival. Participants will explore challenges inspired by survival TV shows and explore steps to survival with their group.
MAD SCIENCE OF COLORADO
The experiments are endless with this fun and hands-on science provider. Mad Science teaches the basics of science in everyday life in a way that is as entertaining as it is educational.
SNAPOLOGY-SNAPOLOGY
provides hands-on STEAM activities which encourage actively designing, creating, interacting and inventing. This provider will encourage social skills and teamwork, while teaching STEAM concepts. Each session of Snapology will have different challenges for participants.
SWALLOW HILL MUSIC
An engaging musical experience through songs, stories and instruments. This provider offers a hands-on experience with music, which is great for seasoned music lovers or those who are new to exploring.

Working in groups, attendees will get to bring Steve, the creepers and more to life. We will make sets, Minecraft blocks, film, animate with effects and do voiceovers. We Are Aurora Youth is a program designed to give youth who are Aurora residents a fun and safe place to hang out during school breaks. Youth can receive free entry to designated recreation centers on weekdays from noon to 7 p.m. Youth will be able to participate in staff led opportunities such as basketball, volleyball, flag football, soccer, esports and competitions to win gift cards.
