Aune is a Swedish fashion brand fusing the world of outdoor functionality with timeless Scandinavian design. We strive for longevity, flawless quality and a peaceful mindset. Something honest. Something pure. Aune is a child born born out of the necessity of the Scandinavian winter. An idea sprung out of frosty mornings when chilly winds paint fingertips red as you open the front door. An answer to the question of why you need to choose between style and high performing function. Between aesthetics and staying warm and able to physically perform.
The name ”Aune’’ comes from a remote forest in the north of Sweden border to Norway. The name acts as a messenger for the state of mind that we enter when exploring nature. Whatever the weather conditions. A of peaceful mindset and connection to the elements. Away from the busy city life. We want to encourage everyone to go out on an adventure, however small it might be, without worrying about freezing or getting wet.
How our products feel is everything to us. Just like a perfume, you wear our products directly on your skin and that is an intimate relationship between us and our customer. It’s when you come close and touch our products that you truly connect with what we believe in.
We wanted to create the softest and most luxurious sports first layer on the market. Doing so succesfully means only working with the finest quality of merino wool and carefuly reveiwing of every step in the the production process. We are happy that our hard work meant finding merino wool that has exceptionably fine fibers feeling more like cashmere than wool, recieving customer testimonials stating “I’ve never felt a first layer this soft” or “Wow, this feels amazing”.
We believe in beautiful design that liberates the wearer from constraints rather than imposing new ones. You shouldn’t need to choose between looking good and being able to move around and be physical in your everyday life. Just like architecture, we believe there should be a friendly conversation between function and style, just like between a mathematician and a poet finding similarities in eachother’s fields of passion.
It is very important to us that our merino wool is ethically produced. That’s why we only work with RWS-certified merino wool.
The Responsible Wool Standard is a global standard for the production of ethical and sustainable wool. It covers the entire supply chain, from the farm to the final product and includes a range of requirements regarding animal welfare, land management and labour practices. A key aspect is the wellbeing of sheep. RWS requires humane animal husbandry practices including the provision of proper shelter, nutrition, medical care and also prohibits the use of mulesing.
RWS addresses environmental sustainability including requirements for sustainable land management practices and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore RWS includes requirements for fair labuor practices, including the payment of fair wages and the provision of safe and healthy working conditions.The standard requires transparency and traceability throughout the supply chain to ensure that products carrying the RWS label are actually produced in accordance with the standard.

We reinveted the first layer as a ribbed roll neck knit made from the softest merino wool you can find. Whether you are out on an adventure or reading a book in a library, the roll neck sweater is a symbol of style.
