WORKPLACE DESIGN Completed 3rd year, Fall 2021

CACHE is an arts service organiziation located in Northwest Arkansas that works to coordinate, connect, augment, export, and exchange creative resources from Northwest Arkansas with the rest of the world. The office is to be located at 525 S School Ave in the creative arts district of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

THE PROGRAM: workspace for 28+ employees, a dining area, executive offices, locker room, conference rooms and more.

The DESIGN SOLUTIONS included greenery, comforting materials, natural light, and warm colors that correspond with CACHE’s company image. As an organization that promotes creativity, the office capitalizes on local art and focuses on both client and employee experience.

REVIVE Completed 2nd year, Spring 2021

REVIVE senior housing began with a 50,000sqft preexisting structure in Paderborn, Germany. The project was to develop a senior housing center that met all codes and accessibiity standards required in the United States while still creating a comfortable space for residents to age in.

THE PROGRAM: dining hall, a public bar/cafe, library, and double and single occupancy rooms.

The DESIGN SOLUTIONS included the use of a natural color palette, clean lines, greenery, and celebration of the existing brick walls. As well as large bathrooms, accessible storage, and queen-sized beds provided in each occupants room. This design allows the residents to continue to live adventurous, independent, and fulfilling lives.

ECLIPSE POD Completed 3rd year, Spring 2022

THE CONCEPT of the Eclipse Pod is to create a space for regeneration and relaxation in high stress environments.

We want to encourage dissassociation from the immediate environment and promote relaxation.

INSPIRED BY Solar Eclipses. Solar eclipses often align with exciting new beginnings, twists of fate, and the arrival of unexpected updates.

The DESIGN SOLUTIONS included a dark interior to promote relaxation and increase privacy, upholstered seating for comfort, reclined seating, customizable LED strip lighting, heavy weight curtain for privacy and sound absorbtion, and a custom eclipse ceiling installation with LED lighting.

LUNA CAFE Completed 2nd year - Fall 2020

This project was a part of the class Digital Media in Design. The cafe was set in a hypothetical store front in Chicago, Illiniois. Through this project we learned the basics of the program Revit. Luna Cafe was born in the process and is a small pastry and coffee shop that creates a unique experience for customers and employees alike.

DESIGN SOLUTIONS included: a bright and exciting color palette, varying levels of privacy, task lighting, a large kitchen with a private office, large walk in fridges, and booths for small private conversations.

The shop offers both pastrys and snacks as well as a small espresso bar.

CONNECTIONS AND MODELS

Completed 2nd year - Fall 2020

In this project I was tasked with creating 10 rooms demonstrating different uses of light, ceilling heights, proporitons, and sizes. I experimented with Rhino creating and exploring different room shapes, space planning, apertures, and room connections.

I then created 5 scaled physical models using foamcore to further understand scale and proportion. After crafting the 5 physical models we then created 5 iterations of thresholds connecting 3 of the rooms in a fluid fashion.
