About me I' Audrey Lock could be described as a Multi-faceted, efficient, and reliable administrative and Interior Design professional with 2+ years of experience. With now a Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration from the Design Centre Enmore.

As my time closed at the Design Centre after graduating with my Diploma I was then nominated for the 2020 Design Institute Of Australia, Graduate of the year state competition, and went through to becoming one of the finalists.

I Currently find myself working as Lead Interior Designer for New Living Homes & New Edge Homes and assistant Interior Designer for Masterton Homes as of January 2020 while also starting to build my own studio.

Proficient in CAD applications and design programs, such as Revit, Photoshop, InDesign and Sketch Up, as well as having a diverse skill set covering construction, curating schemes, furniture layouts, client relations, and account management. I also hold Excellent interpersonal, phone, and digital communication skills and great team work abilities.

Concept Within each space of the hotel I began with the concept of 6 Impossible Things From Alice In Wonderland and the characters within this. For the main reception area and entrance to the hotel we explore Alice and the feelings she would have as she steps into 'Wonderland'. As she enters 'Wonderland' Alice is amazed with the world that is graced upon her. A whimsical feeling. Something she could only dream about..

Making the space lack symmetry but at the same time ensuring it remains balanced was integral. Placing the furniture in a way that is very linear, but then having the reception desk on an angle, frames the room and makes it more conversational. This also enhances the existing feature of the beautiful arched windows behind

Sustainability/ Materials I wanted to ensure the space designed was mature and also respectful of the existing architecture and that it didn't detract from the original Bones. Soft furnishings and DFM acoustic insulation between floor joists makes the sound around the room less abundant and more tolerable.

The use of vintage furniture with new commercial grade fabrics makes the space more sustainable than buying brand new furniture..

Space/ Functionality/ Technology The slightly disarranged furniture layout and multiple focal points within the room were deliberately designed to create the concept of The Mad Hatter. As with the previous room, the design ensures the space is respectful to the original building's integrity by keeping main elements such as the feature skylight and preserving the wooden wall panelling.

Sustainability Again Retaining a lot of the key features from the 1920s. with the thought of sustainability in mind, keeping and reusing many of the materials once used within the hotel was a main focus. As previously explained, a priority was maintaining the wood panelling and simply sanding it back and restaining it with a sustainable wood stain finish. I have tried to ensure all materials are either recycled or can be reused in the future.

Concept/ Creativity Following on with the 6 Impossible Things. As you enter the main bar, Champagne Charlie's, the high ceilings and powerful features emulate the dominant personality of the Mad Hatter. The Mad Hatter is portrayed within the concept through the juxtaposition of colours, textures and tones throughout the space.

Concept/ Creativity When curating this project I had taken into consideration the lack of light inherent within Sydney townhouses.

With the concept of recreating the feeling of being 'among nature', I was able to create a concept and design a space that complemented this. Skylights, windows and doors fill the house, framing each room and space.

The natural light from every part of the day evokes different experiences.

Having sky lights and windows allows for loads of natural light.

Providing a generous bathroom and versatile dining area - that can be then opened up to the outside courtyard - makes the space highly functional and social for the client.

The use of natural materials such as the wallpaper and the many neutral tones of grey to beige, once again reflects the concept and makes the space flow.

Sustainability As mentioned earlier, the use of allnatural materials and the deliberate use of more natural light means that this home and space have a reduced impact on the environment. Also took into consideration was many of the materials used within.

'Among Nature' Main Bathroom

Brief Tasked with the interior design project to design a residential townhouse for a couple within the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. A place that allowed fresh air, with lots of light and a space that allows them to feel as though they are apart of nature while being in the heart of the city. There main area of concern was the bathroom in which they wanted the most focus to be around.

At the Time of me begining at Masterton Homes, us as the interior Design Team Curated a warehouse/industrial style home for the new Bespoke range for Masterton Homes.

'Bespoke by Masterton custom designs speak to the very allure of luxury'.

This home to include large exposed beams throughout, Exposed sand stock Red Brick. grand Steel stairs and crittall like doors throughout. To follow through with the furnishes we created a minimalistic and calm affection throughout.
