Welcome to the theatre!
Thank you for joining us for Kimberly Akimbo , a fresh, new, original musical that earned five Tony Awards in 2023, including Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book. It’s a musical about growing up, and old, and we’re proud to have it as a part of our season and hope you enjoy the performance.

Coming in February is The Great Gatsby , based on F.Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic 1925 novel. The Broadway production opened on April 25, 2024, and continues playing to sold-out houses.
Of course, Louisville has a special connection to this famous novel. Over a century ago, Fitzgerald was stationed here at Camp Taylor during World War I. During that time, he frequented the city’s Seelbach Hotel, which inspired elements of the novel.

According to the Seelbach Hotel historian, a Cincinnati mobster named George Remus, or “The King of Bootleggers” also spent time at the Seelbach. Fitzgerald reportedly based the character of Jay Gatsby on Remus. Daisy Buchanan, a central character in the book, is from Louisville. Fitzgerald chose the Seelbach’s Grand Ballroom as the backdrop for Tom and Daisy’s wedding. We hope you enjoy this musical adaptation of the novel and keep an ear out for the local references.
Many patrons have asked about next season’s lineup. We expect to make the big 2026-2027 season announcement in mid-February. Meanwhile, we still have a full slate of shows ahead and hope you’ll join us for each one. This is a record-breaking season for PNC Broadway in Louisville, and we’re grateful for your support — as well as the dedication of the team at The Kentucky Center, our Broadway in Louisville staff, and the great folks at PNC.
