SCARS Alo! Ki pe dir? Hope you are well, and that recent days are great! February love celebrations brought me a deep and meaningful love song. I could hear the lyrics and the electric guitar strumming; creating a heart pounding moment. Bay's ‘Scars’ lyrics and meaning are awesome, talking about being apart, hurting, but still holding on to the love shared. We lived through scars this time But I've made up my mind We can't leave us behind anymore We'll have to hurt for now But next time there's no doubt 'Cause I can't go without you anymore The strong line is "We can't leave us behind anymore". Despite the hurting, the rumbles or how a bad situation is, we need to cling on to Love. Never lose hope and trust! Love anyway! Sending you love from the island! Next time there is no doubt, we will meet again! #NouZwenn 10

How did it all start up? What were the initial ideas & inspiration for Drooble, and why did you think this would be a good service for the industry?

Challenges can slow you down only if you feel you are performing a regular job. But I am lucky to be surrounded by a team united by a very strong mission which help us move through everything quick and efficient.

A decade ago I started playing the guitar and noticed how music slowly but surely made me more self-aware and present, helped me connect with others and ultimately gave me a tool for self-expression. It was a process of a loud but deep inner transformation.

We have a true human connection with our community members and through their feedback we are actually building Drooble together. This creates a high level of trust. People know that their opinion and ideas will be heard and appreciated, so they feel much more Soon I realized that music can also involved. bring positive change in the lives of others, so I created a music lessons It also helps a lot that we are musicians academy in my home town which ourselves and we are actively using the quickly expanded to other areas in the platform, so this easily makes us part music industry - recording studio, of the community. rehearsal space, concert venue, promotion services and others. Elexis Ansley The US artist holds talent across the arts as a singer/songwriter, actress and multiinstrumentalist. Elexis Ansley delivers positivity and meaningful thoughts through song to broaden the minds of her listeners. Her sound is influenced by the greats such as Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Etta James and Amy Winehouse. Elexis Ansley is currently celebrating success as her pop/ EDM single ’One Life’ reached #16 in the Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart. To date, It has spent 7 weeks in the chart whilst the music video has racked up over 100,000 views on YouTube. The video opens with distressing narratives of three unfulfilled lives. Won’t let ‘em tell me who I can and can’t be. This powerful message bursts through, telling us that life is precious and we should make the most of it. This is brought together with the bright dance track and colourful visual elements. Come with me up to the stars. ‘Way Up’ is her latest song which shares a motivational sense of freedom, enjoying life and breaking through the clouds. Ray of light, shining bright. Her strikingly sexy and liberated attitude shines 18

through the sweet voice. The exciting dance production compliments this theme with a lively rhythm and a captivating atmosphere. The music video puts Elexis in the spotlight with performance shots against lots of beautiful and artistic sceneries. Come and set me free. It's a very indulgent video and song, pulling together this concept of self-love and empowerment. Amidst this excitement, Elexis Ansley took time out to speak to us about her journey… Tell us about yourself and how you got into music. I first learned that I could sing at age 3 and from then on I knew that I wanted to be a singer. I started playing the flute at age 9 and I pursued it pretty heavily. Flute was my principal instrument in college. I sang in my high school talent shows, choir, madrigals, and at church. I learned the bass guitar by sophomore year and played in the school jazz band. Music was healing for me growing up, an escape almost, and that was true for me regarding all of the arts. Your latest single ‘Way Up’ is interesting, can you tell us the ideas behind this song? "Way Up" is about falling in love with someone who leaves you hanging. The only thing you can

do when something like that happens is to focus on yourself. You can't get caught up in the why's or what if's, you just have to do you and keep pushing forward towards your goals. The pre-chorus is essentially a prayer to the Universe to be set free from this unrequited love. Through hard work and a positive outlook, I was able to move on and accomplish a lot in my career. Hence the hook: "I'm all the way up". What inspires your songs? My songs are inspired from something that I either personally experienced or witnessed. Some are songs of encouragement written for people in need of elevation. I always try to have some aspect of positivity in every song. A song might talk about negative experiences or emotions at first, but then the chorus will get you to grow past the negativity and to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

music group or club imaginable, picked it back up again about 4 years ago. I attended The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City and that really opened me up and gave me all the tools I needed to excel in my acting career. Shortly after acting school I landed a couple of roles in feature films, one of which is called "Role Prey", written by Gene Sibbett, which will be a trilogy. We start filming the first movie this summer and I'm really excited about it! In addition to a Bachelor of Music I also have a Bachelor of Metaphysical Science and am an ordained minister, so I really enjoy life and weight loss coaching as it also fulfils my desire to help others. I lost over 100 pounds in 2010 which really humbled me, so I take pride in accepting people for who they are and in maintaining a nonjudgemental attitude about their life and their personal journey. What is your advice for aspiring singers?

Tell us a little about the other things you enjoy doing

My first piece of advice would be to always believe in your gifts and to not let anybody tell you I started acting in high school but who you can and can't be. Study didn't have much time for it back hard and work diligently, ask for then because I was in every I

help from other musicians around you, and don't take constructive criticism personally. Instead see it as an opportunity to grow. However, you get to decide which direction you want to reach your branches in, always. Listen to others' opinions, yet form your own using your own intuition and judgement. Lastly, if you haven't already, learn how to breathe from your diaphragm. Once I learned how to breathe properly, I stopped straining my vocal chords and difficult lines became easier, it's definitely an essential for the aspiring singer! Your uplifting song ‘One Life’ reached #16 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs Charts, how does this feel? And what are your plans for the future? It really feels amazing, definitely a dream come true and it's awesome to watch "One Life" climb up the chart. I have a new single and music video coming out in March called "Light Shower" which is my favorite song I've written to date, so I'm really looking forward to that. After the "Light Shower" release, I'll be doing some touring until I start filming "Role Prey" in July.

Any last words? I'll be releasing my next single called ‘Light Shower’ on Friday, March, 1st. This is by far my favorite record I've written thus far, and I can't wait for everyone to hear it! This song talks about standing in your own power and not allowing negativity from outside sources drain our energy. It's also about learning to love those people in our lives who are not always the most positive. It's definitely a healing, uplifting song and I really hope you all love it! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful team of people I work with who continually inspire me every day. I wouldn't be where I am today without those people, as well as the teachers and coaches I've had throughout my life. I'm so thankful to anyone and everyone who listens to my music and supports me. Thank you for allowing me to do what I love! _____________________________ www.facebook.com/ musicbyelexis www.elexisansley.com

After the past month of disastrous weather, its finally beginning to feel like spring time is here and, just as well because, the line ups for parties in the month ahead are starting to warm up. Last month I treated myself to a small helping of Mark Knight at the W Hotels Perception Lounge where he treated us all to a special disco set. Disco is always good for warming things up and shaking a leg, which is perfect for how March seems to be shaping up. Tomorrowland is a feature on the main lands of Europe with the likes of Solardo, Charlotte De Witte & Kolsch joining the like of Afroman for the visual spectacular. Back on home soil Printworks continues its spring programme with a number of amazing shows, finding myself highly tickled by the Klockwork presents and the AVA London shows. For those who were unaware, AVA is a festival curated by BICEP and during their London show you can look forward to acts such as Joy Orbison, San Proper, Mall Grab, Hunee and host of others. Studio 338 celebrate their birthday where they invite down Cassy, Maayan Nidam, Seb Zito & DJ Sneak as well has having a Cocoon show to look forward to on the 16th. My favourite venue at the moment E1 London host an incredible show by the Dusky boys and it’s billed as having the legendary DJ Randall play an Acid House set? This is a must see. Happy Dancing!

TESS The Mauritian DJ whose smile will lift your spirits. I discovered Tess last year at the Royauté event, her set was just full of joy and passion - you could see and hear how much she loved doing what she was doing. With a good sense of the hottest underground house and dance music, her selections keep the crowd excited. Female DJs are a rarity on the island, so she has high aims of empowering and inspiring women to follow their dreams. I was able to chat with Tess about her music thoughts… Tell us about yourself and how you got into music.

I finished my studies in Australia and came back for holidays with the intention of going back for work. Instead after the holidays, I decided to stay on a whim and met a DJ friend, Aakash Kalachand who offered to give me a few DJing lessons after work at 11pm!! That's how motivated I was hehe. That's where it all started and I have been DJing since. It started slow, as I wasn't confident at all, and I never had any equipment at home so I was practicing when I was playing in front of people! A few years later, I saw that David Jay was giving courses on vinyl, and I did not know how to play on them, so I got into the course with him to get better and I don't regret it. The experience was great and I am very grateful that this very talented DJ shared his knowledge with me, and a few other people.

I'm 32 years old and work in Communication & Events for the newly built world class theatre in Mauritius, the Caudan Arts Centre. I live in the North where all the fun is happening. I consider DJing more as a passion, rather You’re deeply immersed in the Mauritian music scene, how would you than a job, as it doesn't pay the bills. explain its current status and its Music has always been part of my life development over the years? since I was a kid. My dad is an audiophile and he used to sing to me all the time. While having pretty tough teenage years (like many other teenagers I guess), music was omnipresent and I kind of took refuge in it. My dream back then was (probably like many teenage girls) to be a singer, but I was way too shy so I gave up very easily. Years passed and music was "just" a companion until I came back to Mauritius. I was studying in Australia for a few years while going out with an Israeli DJ, and I guess that's what got me into DJing. 26

I started listening to electronic music when I was 15, during the time I was going to El Diablo (more precisely "Pass out" for those who remember!), where I found a taste for this type of music. Back then, it was really underground and listened to only by a closed circle of people. Since that time, the underground music scene evolved drastically. With the boom of events a few years ago, this kind of music became accessible to more and more people who started loving it. Today, I

Life is about waves. Everything is frequency. Your ears interpret waves of frequency when you hear music, your eyes interpret frequency and translates it into a visual image and so on. These waves of frequency mirror each other, for if you have a very low wave you must have an equally high one. You can't have one without the other. And so the waves of life are what prevents us from essentially flatlining where everything would then be the same all the time. But, if you were feeling low, you would desire to be feeling high. So the lows of life birth new desires of great heights. There is beauty in the high, and beauty is born from the lows. Know that if you are in a low valley, your next move will be to a high peak. It is law. - Elexis Ansley 30

A modern summer house production swirls together with the flavourful Spanish vocals. Her sultry air with his raspy tones. This song unveiled a relationship to their fans, the video portraying joyful couple’s memories. Y tu me hiciste enloquence. The lyrics somewhat contradict this sweetness with a full-on saucy nature. And you made me crazy.

CHARTED

A poetic take on love and heartbreak. The exquisite highs and silky smoothness of the chorus is the focal point, with a catchy hook. There is a beautiful harmony as his voice dances together with her feminine tones. I don’t want to be alone tonight. This all sits atop an ultra cool, minimal production.

Sam Smith & Normani Dancing With A Stranger #6 in UK Lara Fabian - Je Suis A Toi (Moto Blanco Remix) #12 in Mauritius

A funky production of retro grooves together with the French lyrics give a Parisianchic feel. The sexy voice draws you in. Tu me touches et je suis à toi. There is a gorgeous oozing sensation of love and tenderness. You touch me and I am yours. 35

‘Another Lover’ by Danny Blaze & Sharon-Rose is a heartfelt moment of lost love. The modern uk garage beat flits underneath atmospheric waves of sound and sturdy piano melodies. Now you’re gone, I just want you more than ever. The production is quietly confident, allowing the voice to shine. The passion and sorrow overflow through sweet, hazy vocal tones. I’m sitting here like a fool. Her mix of fresh verses together with smooth flows create a lovely balance. After picking up huge support on grimey banger ’Shell’, singersongwriter, producer and label owner, Sharon Rose returns with twosided house and garage single, "Another Lover", alongside Flex FM, festival and club DJ/producer, Danny Blaze. Sharon Rose’s fascination with Grime began in the early 2000s, when it evolved from UK Garage. To pay homage to this, Sharon-Rose decided to release a UK Garage track as a spin-off from her Grime track “Shell”. Danny Blaze provides a classic UK Garage production style with elements of R&B and Reggae on the original edit, while Sharon-Rose provides a darker production style on the ‘Nightmare Remix’ which blends classicalGrime, UK House and Afro genres. www.facebook.com/DannyBlazeOnline 36

The ‘Movente LP’ by Cleptophonic is an incredible journey of thought and emotions. The variation of moods and experimentation is perplexing throughout the course of 12 tracks. The gentle waves of ‘Degrade’ sway your soul into a delightful zone, the visions of tranquil waters surrounded by nature come to mind. The grungy though moreish depths of ‘Dust’ darken the scene. ‘Wrong Place’ takes you down a warped alley with futuristic sci-fi sounds making you question your surroundings. ‘Bonheur’ once again spins us into another realm, this charming sensation of the light air and classical smooth strings take us to the shores of the French coastline in a distant memory. 38

Movente is a debut LP from a vital and long standing figure of Italy’s clubbing scene under a brand new alias. That alias is Cleptophonic, and the album, due in 2019, is an autobiographical collage of experimental trip hop sounds that is truly immersive. Under a former alias, Cleptophonic has spent years DJing and experimenting in the studio and has made a real impact on his native scene as a result. He is a very delicate person with a serious attention to detail that he puts to best use by delving deep into what he loves: playing on turntables and immersing himself in a sonic realm cuts him off from the real world and acts as therapy for this meticulous and selective person and artist. He is a master of a stylish musical collage technique – both in sound and images. As such Movente is a collage of different sounds, sampled with the turntables and put together with Logic, while his passion for collage also spills over onto the album cover, which is made by pieces of paper from magazines, newspapers and comic strips. The result is an experimental trip-hop album with a singular sound that puts together pieces of life, sounds and images that are meaningful for him, especially the last song, which is dedicated to his mother who sadly committed suicide a few years ago.

The album release event at Studio dB, Berlin on 17 March 2019, sits alongside a sound therapy training course organised by the Pregnant Void movement. This 1st level program presents the unity of the human body and sound. It teaches topics such as vibrational massage, communication through harmonic singing and biofield tuning. www.pregnantvoid.bandcamp.com/album/movente-lp 39

The ‘ Orchestral EP’ by Ravvyn Eston is a compelling experience of sound with the blend of modern dance and orchestra elements. Main track ‘Earth’ is a lively dance number which presents fantastic string work to build interest and excitement. The Orchestral Mix of this track emphasizes the beauty and wonder. It brings forth enchanting melodies and a leisurely pace clashed skillfully against the upbeat energy. ‘Truth’ takes a turn down the dark side with strong, pulsating strides of power and rushing electricity. www.twitter.com/RavvynEston

‘Chauffeur’ by Cyanide ft Paigey Cakey & S Wavey is a smooth and sexy blend. A flavourful Caribbean vibe sets the mood on the production with various rhythmic percussion. This is contrasted with beautiful bold flairs of strings and piano chords. The heady vocal mix involves slick lyrical pops, sensual waves of huskiness and sweet tones of desire. She don’t want a joker. The theme surrounds a need for a real man, loyal and loving. Cyanide has been staking out the UK music scene for a number of years but with his latest release ‘Chauffeur’ alongside Paigey Cakey and S Wavey, he’s making a breakthrough to a whole different level. Dressed head to toe in Jamaican vibes, ‘Chauffeur’ comes with a wavy Bashment sound. The video itself is set in Kingston and takes in the local Passa Passa street party as the backdrop, teamed with artists, dancers, selectors and even a cameo appearance form UK favourite Cashh(tastic), that make for a true slice of the island, mixed with a twist of the UK. Originally born in Burnt Savannah before moving to London, Cyanide has deep-rooted heritage on the island, which has always been core to his music and ‘Chauffeur’ is the perfect example of it. Adding his exceptional production skills to the record is super producer Rymez (Stefflon Don – Hurtin Me, Wiley – Heat Wave), and features from Paigey Cakey and S Wavey add in a sexy, melodic spin plus a portion of the streets. www.instagram.com/cyanide_oftm_artist 41

‘Making Love’ by Rae Stewart is steamy. The cool tone of the production takes us through steadily. Her sulky, raw attitude is taken over by him. It's a conflict of knowing the darker truths of the world, yet needing to let him be free. I just want you to be safe. The vocals move into a smooth and seductive mood. Sparkling flourishes of chimes and zills accompany the chorus of romantic indulgence. Baby come home. The feverish need and love rise to a climax with a beautiful piano melody. Making Love is the new single by fresh Mancunian R&B artist Rae Stewart, produced by the renowned Birmingham based producer Triple B (2000 & Triple ENT). The slick R&B production, featuring Rae’s cool, sexy vocals, is influenced by the late 90’s R&B & Hip-Hop greats such as Destiny’s Child, Missy Elliot, but has a definite 2019 edge. Rae says, “Making Love was originally a freestyle that I wrote over the beat, sent to me by Triple B. Then, we decided to film me singing it after a show I had in Manchester and put it on socials. It got over thousands of likes across the board and a great response by the public and well-known artists. So, we went to the studio in the same week and turned into a proper song and released it in late November on all digital platforms.” The video for Making Love, directed by Rae and her manager J.Gray, showcases new aspects of her creative talent. From a playlist on Birmingham’s top radio station, the Newstyle Radio 98.7 FM to the thousands of new Instagram followers, Making Love is already taking the world by storm. This builds on the momentum of 2018. Her EP Hear Me won her new fans, live shows and media support, with the private listening party in Rae’s hometown of Manchester to celebrate its release a sell-out success. Be Down hit the top 30 in Music Week’s Pop Chart and Fake Love was confirmed as DJ Target’s Unsigned Artist Song of The Week. Rae Stewart started singing at only three years old. By the age of 18, she was a part of the group Venus alongside two other girls from Manchester. In that time, she appeared in TV show Asbo Teens to Beauty Queens. The response was mind blowing, with requests from TV, record labels and managers filling up Rae’s inbox. In December, Rae performed live at The Drop | Link Up TV show in London receiving rave reviews. More shows are planned for 2019 - stay tuned on her social media for the latest updates. www.raestewartofficial.com 42

‘Gemini’ by Euphoric Nation is a refreshing wave of sound. The dark bass wobbles and rising tempo create an intriguing intensity. A lovely airy voice trickles in, adding a touch of softness against the hard beat. The middle section brings enlightenment and depth. We drop into the big dance energy put your hands in the air, jump up and enjoy this moment! Hot off of their performance at Rev Ultra Lounge for Trance Paradise 400, Euphoric Nation wants nothing more than to keep the good vibes flowing. Enter in forthcoming release “Gemini”, making its way soon to a speaker near you on the home of future-forward musical expression, OHM Music! The Minneapolis duo comprised of Don Ortega and Justin Zanish have dedicated their lives to designing melodic masterpieces that feed the soul and with “Gemini” waiting in the wings, you better be ready to lose yourself completely to the rhythm of the night. In astrology, Gemini is represented by twins, half-immortal and fueled by a curiosity for the living experience. Those that fall under the Gemini sign are often looked at as having two personalities while remaining thoughtful, restless, and insatiably ready for fun. Translate this concept to sound and Euphoric Nation unveils a billowing soundscape where dark carnal tones find their perfect match within a heavenly harmony. Connected to the beat as if it was our lifeline, our inner spirit begins to glow with an overwhelming feeling of bliss. But, it is the latter half of the track that unveils the flip side of the Gemini trait as the festival inspired top end pushes the energy to the limit in all the right ways! www.euphoricnation.us 44

‘Days To Years’ by Benvenue is a dark show of emotions. A moment of reflection, and then suddenly the powerful rock track slams into action. A false note of happiness. The emotive, passionate, rugged, despondent vocals capture your attention. A theme of sorrow, love-lorn, a distressed heart and mind. This twists into a new revelation, the mood shifting with the lighter tone - You are free. Melodic alternative rock band BENVENUE is announced the release of "Days To Years," their latest track and music video. On it, the Bay Area band is challenging the listener to look within themselves, much like their previous single "Wake Up Now" which was also co-produced by Jason Mater (Disney Music Publishing) and has over 33,000 YouTube views. 46

www.AudationMagazine.com

"One thing we've realized is there is absolutely no substitution for lost time, especially when going through difficult experiences," the band shared with PureGrainAudio, who premiered the video. "As we get older, days to years happens faster, but time also becomes way more meaningful. We seem to embrace life's beauty whether good or bad as a learning experience. "The inspiration for writing 'Days to Years' stemmed from dĂŠjĂ vu. The challenge is sometimes living in the moment and embracing it. When you finally realize the lesson was for yourself, it always seems to come years later and that's when you truly become free. We chose this song to be our next single because we feel it's completely relatable to any person. The listener should sink into the beginning guitar swells and embrace the song's journey."

The band first began in 2004 when Francis Blay (vocals) and Sid Slater (guitar) met while attending UC Berkeley, playing for Cal football, and began writing songs together. After graduation and moving to Los Angeles for a short time, Blay and Slater settled back in Northern California and solidified the lineup with their Cal teammate Erik 'Erob' Robertson (bass) and Sid's childhood friend, Moon (drums) in 2008. www.benvenueband.com 47

‘Ekki Hugsa’ by Ólafur Arnalds is a work of art. The production is a beautifully and carefully crafted piece consisting of intricate detail using few modes of sound. The twinkling piano sets a base like a gentle stream trickling between the rocks. These rocks come in the form of jagged and bold strings. The tempo increases, the two instruments swirl together rising to a dramatic crescendo. The music video is equally full of charm. One bare room of various types of people of all backgrounds and minds - together as one. Feeling this moment. Dancing, telling their stories through motion, holding each other’s hands. Feeling and reflecting the vibrations. A perfect balance of un-balance. Filmed in his native Iceland, the title of the new release translates as ‘don’t think’, and features uplifting synthesised melodies combined with acoustic cello hooks, resulting in Ólafur’s distinctive, multi-layered sound. "The video is about not overthinking and getting lost in a moment. When you turn off the noise in your brain so much creativity can be discovered inside of yourself." - Ólafur Arnalds The video, produced and directed by Arni & Kinski, features a highly-choreographed routine created by Asrun Magnusdottir and Alexander Roberts, showcasing both contemporary and traditional steps. ‘ekki hugsa' features Ólafur’s ground-breaking new software, Stratus, which transforms the piano into a unique and entirely modern instrument. The Stratus Pianos are two self-playing, semi-generative player pianos and the centrepiece of Ólafur’s latest works. The custom-built software controlling the pianos is the result of two years of work by Ólafur and audio developer Halldór Eldjárm. www.olafurarnalds.com

‘Say Something’ by Nasser Baker is the ultimate power track. The pumping beat and funky electro grooves bring those feelgood head-bopping vibes. Snappy, addictive vocal lines get you hooked with a moody, untamed attitude. I saw you from across the room. The classic timid story comes with a retro video complete with a fade and a pink boiler suit. My back against the wall and I don’t know what I should do. Widely noted as ‘One To Watch’ in 2019, named one of DJ Mag’s ‘Cheeky Bubblers’, Nasser Baker is one of the hottest talents of the moment. Mentee of House legend Dennis Ferrer, Nasser released one of summer 2018’s biggest tracks ‘Say Something’; confirmed in Annie Mac’s Best Dance Tracks of 2018’. With over 600K streams on Spotify, the track blew up across dancefloors and radio airwaves. Grante Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ and Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on BBC Radio 1, ‘Say Something’ was fed out to dancefloors worldwide by the likes of Fat Boy Slim, Groove Armada, Richie Hawtin and Camelphat. In a continuation of such success, Nasser now presents the ‘Say Something’ official music video. Showcasing Nasser’s fresh style, the ‘90s inspired video showcases the story behind the track itself; a fun take on the iconic vocals. In a Fresh Prince of Bellaire fashion, we follow a boy at a party, trying to impress a girl he likes. Among little success and a mixture of entertaining dance moves, he finds himself stuck on repeat, repeatedly waking up to the same morning before finding himself back at the party trying to impress the same girl. www.facebook.com/nasserbakermusic 49

‘Think About You’ by Mullally tugs at your heartstrings. The sweet and raw emotions pour through his versatile vocal tones - those exquisite highs a treat to the ears and a contrast against the gruff moments. The production is unfussy. A light piano guiding the atmosphere whilst the percussion stands strong and plays against his vocals to create a nice balance. You tear me apart with your silence. The story of an unrequited love is told through the passionate lyrics. We came so close, I could taste it. Brit-soul contemporary Mullally returns with emotive new ballad, ‘Think About You’ - a track produced by Grammy-nominated duo Rice’N’Peas, the brains behind G-Eazy hit, ‘Some Kind Of Drug’, and Bazzi’s standout smash, ‘Beautiful’ ft Camilla Cabello. “Think About You’ is me spilling my feelings on a page, and into a song”, explains Mullally. “Sometimes we forget that the world doesn’t stop when you go through shit. I had to pick myself up and go to the studio when I was emotional and drunk, and in a happy accident we captured a really honest, true reflection of what was happening in my life at the time. Writing this song allowed me some clarity.” Laying his emotions bare and spotlighting powerful, rasping tones, ‘Think About You’ also sees Mullally draw influence from classic RnB and Soul, to tell the story of a love cherished and lost. Delivered with a tenderness that belies his age, it is the latest in a series of singles that have reinforced his credentials as one of the UK’s most promising breakout acts. A graduate from Access to Music College – whose alumni include Ed Sheeran and Rita Ora - Mullally has been steadily building a solid fan base through a string of strong releases and repurposed pop songs like ‘Wonderful’ and ‘Vows’ while working with celebrated producers like Cool & Dre (Beyonce, Jay-Z), DarkChild (Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Sam Smith) and Two Inch Punch (Sam Smith and Rag n Bone Man). Mullally has also supported Anne-Marie, the UK’s biggest breakthrough act of 2018, Jess Glynne, RAYE and Clean Bandit on his come-up over the last two years. www.facebook.com/mullallymusic 50

‘Loose’ by FVLCRVM is an intriguing meld of sounds and styles. Sounds bubble up in this modern, experimental production. The vocals are both cool and somewhat monotonous, yet also pull at these restraints of confinement, finally leaping forward and shaking you by the shoulders. The air so hot it’s boiling the blood. The trendy main section swings in with flaring high notes and a nifty beat. Endlesss white dunes. The artistic and obscure lyrics could be a metaphorical representation of fighting for something or someone you love, against all odds. FVLCRVM’s “Hi!” to the world as an extraordinary songwriter & vocalist came as a little surprise to everyone who was solely familiar with his work as a producer & DJ. Picked by Spotify as number 1 for their renowned “Fresh Finds” Playlist, his first release ’Notch' went viral and was soon featured by BBC Radio 6. This gained the Bratislava based artist immediate attention by tastemakers like Mary Anne Hobs or Machinedrum. With his follow up “Words”, FVLCRVM offered a crisp and eloquent take on pop music and provided the viewer with a peak into a mind-blowing version of a gloomy yet dystopian future. Great support from Spotify and Apple Music as well as renowned Magazines like DJ MAG & Sound of Music made clear that FVLCRVM is a name to look out for. Oscillating between mainstream & underground, between Pop, UK Bass & Future Beats, FVLCRVM is one of the most promising artists to enter the music world in 2019. www.fvlcrvm.com 52
