SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Auburn University Samuel Ginn College of Engineering’s vision is to provide the best student-centered engineering experience in America. Producing the best engineers starts with recruiting the best students. There is enormous competition among colleges and universities to recruit and retain elite students. We are committed to building scholarship funding to offer financial incentives and compete with other prestigious institutions for the most outstanding students. In addition, scholarship support often provides those in need with an opportunity to attend the university when they otherwise may not have been able to afford a higher education. Scholarships also incentivize and reward groups of students who often fall outside of traditional criteria guidelines, such as transfer students and those working through school.

Dean’s Scholars

Creed Scholars

Dean’s scholarships will position the college to recruit the best and brightest high school students.

Creed scholarships will recognize and reward students who are excelling outside the classroom by working to pay their way through school and serving in campus leadership roles.

Recruiting Scholarship

• Naming example: John and Jane Doe ’75

Auburn Engineering Endowed Dean’s Scholarship

• Endowment: $100,000 - $150,000 • Annual scholarship: $4,000 - $6,000 • Selection preference: Incoming freshmen, 30+ ACT, National Merit Scholars

Work, Hard Work Scholarship

• Naming example: John and Jane Doe ’75

Auburn Engineering Endowed Creed Scholarship

• Endowment: $50,000 - $100,000 • Annual scholarship: $2,000 - $4,000 • Selection preference: Work/internship/co-op

experience, student organization involvement, 3.0 GPA incoming freshmen, 2.8 GPA renewal

Soaring Eagle Scholars

Excellence Scholars

Soaring Eagle scholarships will allow the college to actively recruit and retain outstanding underrepresented and first-generation college students.

Excellence scholarships will provide funding to pay tuition and fees for Auburn Engineering students.

Diversity Scholarship

• Naming example: John and Jane Doe ’75

Auburn Engineering Endowed Soaring Eagle Scholarship

• Endowment: $50,000 - $100,000 • Annual scholarship: $2,000 - $4,000 • Selection preference: Underrepresented, first-

generation college students, 3.0 GPA incoming freshmen, 2.8 GPA renewal

Transfer Scholars

Transfer Student Scholarship Transfer scholarships will allow the college to provide financial support to the large population of transfer students who come to Auburn from community colleges and other institutions.

Auburn Engineering Endowed Transfer Scholarship

• Endowment: $50,000 - $100,000 • Annual scholarship: $2,000 - $4,000 • Selection preference: Transfer student, 3.0 GPA

Tuition and Fees Scholarship • Naming example: John and Jane Doe ’75

Auburn Engineering Endowed Excellence Scholarship

• Endowment: $300,000 • Annual scholarship: $12,000

Cupola Scholars Full Scholarship

Cupola scholarships will be among the most prestigious scholarships awarded by the college. These awards will provide funding for tuition, fees, housing and board for Auburn Engineering students.

Auburn Engineering Endowed Cupola Scholarship

• Endowment: $600,000 • Annual scholarship: $24,000
