Proud

Welcome to the 1950s, at the height of anti-communism, when McCarthy was the topic of choice at every dinner party. Six guests arrive at a mysterious mansion on a stormy night, each receiving a letter beckoning their presence. This tale of deceit and deception at the heart of the government is all too familiar, and sets the stage for a fast-paced and thrilling, yet absurd, murder mystery.

A board game turned movie turned play becomes a farce. With each twist and turn, the mystery evolves, and the audience is left to unravel the clues, asking, 'Just how many doors does this house have, and who was the culprit behind the crime.'

I fell in love with the iconic film as a child. I have always enjoyed the zany and chaotic nature of a good farce. The chance to bring that energy and absurdity to the stage is a challenge, but a rewarding one. While this murder mystery has been a technical show to put together, it has also been thrilling and exciting. I have enjoyed working with this exceptional cast and crew to bring the classic film to life on the stage, and I look forward to bringing this beloved farcical murder mystery to the audience.
