TWO GUVNORS
ONE MAN,
Mistaken Identities Outrageous Fun Love Triangles
Contains adult themes and language.
Daily Variety calls “One Man, Two Guvnors” “...sheer comic delirium.”
The ever-starving Francis Henshall finds himself working for both a gangster and a criminal in hiding, both of whom are linked in a web of schemes, shakedowns and seductions. To prevent the discovery that he is working for two bosses, Francis must do everything he can to keep his two guvnors apart, while still getting food and the girl. Playwright Bean transports the commedia dell’arte conventions of the 1746 “The Servant of Two Masters” to the seaside town of Brighton in 1963.
Directed by Connie Canaday Howard
Based on The Servant of Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni & songs by Grant Olding
THU, FRI, SAT, 8p • SUN, 3p $42 Adult | $40 Senior
APRIL 28 – MAY 29
Contains adult themes and language.
The New York Times says, “…everyone in this shop has a story, a loss, a regret and Smart weaves their tales together adeptly.”
It is Naperville, 2012. Anne works on a new project, T.C. is working his first shift as a new manager and Candice and son Howard are back from Seattle, arriving at her favorite spot: Caribou coffee. What follows is a day full of cups of coffee with eccentricity. Conversations create a turning point which reveals how much community adds to your life.
Directed by Kurt Naebig

JAN 27 – FEB 27
Contains adult themes and language.
Laura Linney (Academy Award Nominee, Emmy and Golden Globe Winner) says,“Kurt Naebig’s show is unique, his storytelling fascinating and nimble, but it’s the depth of his spirit that stays with you long after “Stove Toucher” is over.”
What happens when you achieve the high-rolling lifestyle you always dreamed of…at thirteen years old? An extraordinary and funny coming-of-age story set during the 1970s skateboard boom, about a semi-pro boarder who opens a successful business, gets interviewed by Charlie Rose and falls into drugs: all before high school. Stove Toucher is a high adrenaline, hilarious, heartfelt recounting of everything you ever wanted – and then watching it fall apart.
A solo show written and performed by Kurt Naebig Directed by Connie Canaday Howard

Sincerely, The Ensemble
With great affection,
Thank you for joining us on the next steps of our anniversary and more!
Please know that as our subscribers, our extended family, we value your safety, as well as that of our artists; we are practicing safety guidelines set forth by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, the State of Illinois, and the McAninch Arts Center/College of DuPage. These guidelines will be modified based on evolving standards.
It is with enormous optimism and gratitude that we look forward to the reopening of the theatre where we can continue to explore, enrich, and engage with each other through Giving Stories Life. All three of our productions are a celebration of people on the precipice of change, who move forward with courage and joy — a theme which seems appropriate given the last couple of years — and as we all look to the future.
Buffalo Theatre Ensemble is incredibly proud to embark on our 35th Anniversary Season! We can hardly wait to welcome people back into a space where as the house lights darken, the hush of the collective room tunes into active listening, and we share our experience.
“I regard the theater as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.” -Thornton Wilder
Dear Friends of BTE,
