The Spheres - Connected Facility

ATS provided an integrated building automation system featuring Alerton Controls coupled with Aircuity for air quality monitoring of temperature, humidity and ventilation control. These integrated systems control the facility’s office and retail spaces and keep more than 40,000 plants from around the world alive and thriving by maintaining an ideal climate. Other system integrations on this project include lighting, plant watering and electrical meters.

Enatai Elementary | Bellevue, WA

The Bellevue School District chose ATS to provide & integrate the HVAC and lighting controls for Enatai Elementary. ATS designed a system utilizing Alerton’s Compass BMS and Blue Ridge Technologies’ lighting control platform. This solution allows operators to use the same schedules for both HVAC equipment and lighting without the need to duplicate work in a separate interface. Post-construction the school’s combined electric and natural gas EUI was 17 and is expected to decrease as system tuning continues.

Block 44 | Seattle, WA

Completed in 2014, Block 44 is a 395,000 ft² Class A, LEED Platinumcertified office building. The building operators wanted to ensure like-new building operation was maintained. To achieve this, they added facilityCARE, ATS’ signature energy service to their existing controls support agreement. facilityCARE provides advanced monitoring and reporting allowing operators to focus on changes that will have the most significant impact at the facility. After the first year, total energy consumption was reduced by 6%, and the cumulative system runtime was cut by 35,000 hours.

Providence Medical Center | Everett, WA

ATS has supported the Providence Medical Center – Everett since 2012, with investing in their facilities systems performance through energy projects and ongoing maintenance services. Our breadth of service at the hospital includes mechanical design assistance, energy auditing, advanced fault detection, preventative maintenance services, and systems training. ATS utilized the facilityCARE service to develop an operating room setback program to conserve energy while not in use. In the first year, this program saved the hospital over $12,000.
