idea - concept - design. thought process. rchitecture is often considered as a block of concrete behaving as a machine; a block which disregards the nature and overpowers the surrounding.

With my designs, I want to explore the materials which respects the context and blends with the nature and I believe that the design process is as important as the final outcome to achieve the synchronization.

Live-work, Pune, Sem-3 Covid has brought up a lot of changes in the contemporary lifestyle, people have faced a lot of problems like the chaos of living and working in the same place which affected their mental health.

Therefore the design aims at respecting the context and nature, bringing peace and liveliness into one space.

idea - concept - process.

Living and working in a same place has become a common thing during covid times which makes the daily life more chaotic.

The site is covered with plateaus and surrounded by nature which put context in focus.

The concept revolves around the division of spaces on privacy levels: Public, Semi-Private and Private with a number of users.

The elemets of the architecture are designed considering the contxet which merges the house with the surrounding.

The flat roof compliments the flat hill tops with the vault over the office which creates the contrast between living and working space.

The only tree on the site has been kept as it is and the steel screen on the first floor covers the private area.

the voids of the unbuilt.

Fab park, Ahmedabad, Sem 5 The relationship between nature and architecture develops in voids, which are as important as valids. This is where nature has the power to grow on its own.

Fab-park: A conceptual institutional project which focuses on the unbuilt and the voids.

Horizontal voids are created in the plan with courtyards and ponds, similarly, vertical voids are created by lifting the building up from the ground and letting nature take control.

idea - concept - process.

Watching the site through the bamboo generated the concept of voids which created the visual connection at the exact moment.

Taking biophilic architecture as the theme and synchronizing it with the concept, language to the design was given.

Artificial contours are created on the northern end leading to the G-1 level having maker space and material library.

The elevated architecture gives freedom to nature to take control of the ground, with bamboo used as a primary material to merge the building with the surrounding.

The conceptualized model exploring the grids with no built block on the site.... The walls are defining the space, focuses on the trees and creating the balance of built and voids.

The model cas be considered as the very simplified prototype of the design.

Creating comfort is striking a perfect balance between intervention and initiative. How can we offer tools and strategies that the labourers can breathe life into as they see fit? Aditionally, what kind of strategy could be so versatile that it caters to a user group as diverse as migrant workers across the country?

In a social microcosm fraught with struggles, the dignity of designing their own modular homes uplifts them by expressing their thoughts and choices. What brings their hands together is the quite art of weaving; interlacing strands of baamboo but creating a tapestry of togertherness.

idea - concept - process.

LET THE PEOPLE BUILD THEIR OWN COMMUNITY. “In today’s world, defending the dignity of work is a constant uphill struggle.

Prevailing economic thinking sees work as a cost of production, which in a global economy has to be as low as possible in order to be competitive...Nowhere in sight is the societal significance of work as a foundation of personal dignity, as a source of stability and development of families or as a contribution of comunities at peace. This is the meaning of decent work”.

Uniting a marginalized community, empowering them with skills, and uplifting their way of life.

Consider this design a guideline that provides the building blocks- a playful modularity that each person may interpret and develop in a suitable manner. The voiceless speak, not withwords, but with woven homes of their own.

The wall panels can be arranged according to the requirements of the workers.

The window and door panesl can be tied with the wall panels and openings can be created.

The flooring can the plinth can be made with the commpressed sand sacks after the walls and openings are installed.

The roof module can be installed with the required insulation depending upon the climate and context.

The explorations include multiple internships, competitions, projects, and abstractions.

These explorations are the products of curiosity; from prison design to silk route cultural center and container house in Canada to darkroom photo and recording studio in the university.

The abstractions are the replications of thoughts throughout.

As humans, we are individuals with character and feelings and should not be limited to living in the generic geometric confines of a box. The design is explored with angles and volumes in different rooms to create a unique spatial experience.

It is inspired by the rocks spilling out in nature which is a unique entity in itself.

5 days workshop + competition with futuristic cultural center as a theme. The project focuses on global warming as a problem and the elevated earth patches as a solution with technology playing a very important role.

Container homes internship includes client meetings, exterior design, landscaping and interior. The house at the beach in canada is made up of multiple containers for a family of 6.

prison design competition.

The project revolves around the concept of metamorphosis where inmates go through several stages to emerge as individuals who are beneficial to the society. A prison that fosters responsibilty and compassion.

growth pavilion.

The conceptual pavilion is inspired by growth and randomness to connect people to calmness in the chaos. The human mind needs peace and calmness of nature in the hectic lifestyle.

silk route center.

Conceptual design for Culture center competition focuses on the pixelated cultures which are eternally connected by the values. The Design also emphasize the history of silk route which knitted the cultures together.

moving image. underconstruction The ongoing project in AnantU for the faculty of moving image ; it includes a recording studio, dark room, office, conference room and a lab for lightbox + workspace.

The internship allowed me to head a team designing an exhibition area which is a part of urban hub initiative by Government of Telangana.

vadnagar.

2019-present

The vadnagar project is a development project in the home tome of PM Narendra Modi.

The school of PM is currently renovating and soon the town will have the heritage walk.
