Gardening in the Southeast Presented by Mark Weathington, Director, JC Raulston Arboretum, Monday, October 1, 7 p.m. Mark Weathington is the Director of the JC Raulston Arboretum at NC State University where he is passionate in his work to connect people with plants. He travels extensively searching for new plants to diversify the American landscape, and has recently completed A Homeowner’s Guide to Gardening in the Southeast. In this presentation, he will cover plants, pests, soils, and climate – everything you need to become a successful gardener in the Southeast. A book-signing will follow the lecture. The Philip and Elkin Alston Lecture series is made possible through the generous support of the Charles Loridans Foundation. Free admission; no reservations required.
