Restoring humanity in human, make people lives out their life again through self treatment Solution
The Concept
Holistic wellness of a human can be achieved by unlocking the potential from within, a healing journey started with the spirit, to the mind and finally, the body.
Narrative
It is aimed to provide a tranquil space for people to revitalize their life from self-treatment process. Greeneries area as an integral part of the building, the uses of carving pattern (Javanese heritage) into the building as it is to introduce the traditional ambience for customers and visitors.
Healthy and right mind can motivate us to start self-healing process, from within (Dweck, 2008).
Spiritual healing occurs as we begin to consciously reconnect with our essential being –entity that we are at our core
Mental health affect physical health: our minds and bodies are constantly engaging in conversations with each other.
This Vitality and wellness centre focused on the salutogenic approach because it is concerned with the relationship between health, stress, and coping. Biophilic design approach also being integrated actively in this design
Biophilic design is a concept used within the building industry to increase occupant connectivity to the natural environment through the use of direct nature, indirect nature, and space and place conditions.
-An approach focusing on factors that support human health and well-being, rather than on factors that cause disease

Flattened bamboo is very flexible and works nicely with curvilinear roofs. The synthetic waterproof membrane last longer, approximately for 20-25 years, but the outer bamboo pelupuh layer must be replaced every 5-8 years.
Flattened bamboo degrades quickly if it is exposed to moisture and organic matter.

Issues
Social Isolation
No aspect of normal societal functioning has been spared during this pandemic. This lead to elevated levels of loneliness and social isolation, which in turn produce physical- and mental-health related repercussions.
Crime the highest average index crime rates per 100,000 of the population between 2010 and 2017 are KL and Selangor respectively. 42.4% of the total index crimes occurred in the states of KL and Selangor
Urban poor
They are not the homeless,. Instead it is the odd-job man or pasar-malam trader living in a public housing flat.
Out of 75% Malaysian living in urban areas, some 30% are likely to fit in this group
Re-socialize; in this context is to make the community start to interact with each other again Before pandemic, we tend to ignore one another because of the demand in making a living for our own selves. Now it’s time to change, by re-socialising Awareness towards the

TERRITORIAL REINFORCEMENT

ACCESS CONTROL
the elements of CPTED (crime prevention through environmental design)
Create clear distinction between public and private property by separating the ground floor and residential floor. This is important for two reasons: Legitimate occupants have a sense of ownership and will notice, and even challenge, people who don't belong; intruders, on the other hand, have a harder time blending in so the crime are lesly to happen
A well-maintained area sends the message that people notice and care about what happens in an area. This, in turn, discourages vandalism and other crimes.
sense of control can be denied by clearly marking the approaches to buildings and properties and channelling visitors into a defined area.

UBBL 165 (4)-TRAVEL DISTANCE
Maximum travel distance to exits should comply 30m with sprinkler. In this project, maximum distance travel from 0 300 metre clearance of the farthest room in a housing unit to the fire staircase did not exceed 30m
UNIT LAYOUT
U wall to separate the walkway and housing unit, in order to create privacy for the residents in each level
Ohana Unit Not To Scale
the use of party wall with the thickness of 300mm to intention to reduce unwanted noise transmission within buildings and in particular, to noise transmission within residential dwellings
with the access to neighbour’s compound and the unlimited vista from the balcony, this definitely give advantages for those who are tired to stay alone and need companion.
wall to create enclosure between walkway and housing unit, so that residents won’t be interrupted by other resident’s existence

Ohana unit is a unit for small and medium family, provided with 1 master bedroom and a shared bedroom which fit for 2 bed, wet kitchen area, a huge bathroom, laundry room as well as the living area. In this building, there is about 16 unit only.
Ohana plan Not to Scale
Private pocket balcony for residents, to obtain privacy and privilege
Mezza Unit is a unit dedicated for working millennials and newlywed couple. This unit basically provide a duplex room, complete with a petite green pocket for its residents to own their own small garden.
Plus One Plan Not to Scale
Plus One Unit Not To Scale
Plus one unit is dedicated to maintain the dormitory principle, but in a little bit more privacy. This unit complete with just a space for bedroom, study table and a bathroom for daily use. Kitchen is not provided to encourage youth or students to participate more at the potluck spot area, located in the ground floor
shared green pocket
Mezza Unit Not To Scale
This housing unit doesn’t have
wet kitchen, to imitate the dormitory style. This is why communal kitchen potluck is formed to encourage the co-housing activities
This housing unit often designed to mirror the layout and being placed next to next with the intention to mingle with neighbour on the next door bed
shared green pocket
QUALITY OF SPACES
Inner courtyard can be a fun place to mingle and communicate with other residents. The existence of stacked unparalleled staircase give the advantage for residents on the upper level to have a look on what’s going on at the courtyard and create natural surveillance. This courtyard has no roof covered as the intention is to allow ventilations and air movement inside the building. Exposed trusses are to celebrate the beauty of construction
Open and airy inner courtyard only can be access by residents and management, no visitors are allowed except with the company of residents
QUALITY OF SPACES
Urban sports area and plaza is one of the best attraction in this cO-housing project. With majority of housing unit is from the category of working millennials and students, with few family, this can be the advantage to the residents as we are expecting for the young age to have fun while starts to communicate with other residents or visitors from outside.
Urban sports area focused on the sport such as skateboarding, parkour, BMX community to cherish this space
Rain Water Harvesting
Using rain water to plant reuse for greeneries planting and drain cleaning
Solar Panel
Solar panel technology is being integrated into this project to obtain natural benefit from sunlight to be used in the building
Self-healing Materials
For the building, self healing concrete have been used to lengthen its life span
IBS Integration
With the use of IBS, less construction process is required with maximum satisfaction
Vertical Green Façade
Concrete with irregular shaped is placed to implement the vertical green in this building
Atrium’s Sustainability
For the stacked effect and natural ventilation inside the building, an open atrium and courtyard is formed to benefit all its residents
The courtyard is designed to provide its own ‘plaza’ and place for mingling with the existence of stage and greeneries all around the courtyard
Green inner courtyard
CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUE
With the intention to reduce unwanted noise transmission within buildings and in particular, to noise transmission within residential dwellings (family to be exact), party wall seems to be the best choice in deciding the IBS component.

Here’s a circular maze to create awareness and curiosity among the visitor. From the keyword belief, Minangkabau has this one tradition called kurung, literally means cage Repetition of semi circle with different height was created to form a volumetric atrium at the centre of the space Some of the semi circle used the glass materials, to play with light and shadows This was hoped could enlighten people’s feelings of being caged by this old tradition.

In Minang, headpiece is not an extraordinary accessories used by woman in daily life and during community event Headpiece is a symbol of responsibility that was burdened onto them. Therefore, a repetition of different level of wide run was arranged in a circular form to create obstacles for tourist to reach the end of structure, until then they will found a series of cargo net for them to go down- but not in an easy way
“A language of differentiation”, is a concept derived from the definition of identity Thus, the idea came from the identity of Minangkabau itself;
“for identity is marked out through symbols and by difference”

Narrow scope of study in Minangkabau was determined: which is to focus on female’s status in Minangkabau tradition (adat pepatih) which shows a huge difference from any other female’s status in our society.
The main intention is to educate and give understanding for visitors about the beauty of this old tradition, despite all the unpleasant perception about female who practiced adat pepatih since previous era
