Direct from the West End, the acknowledged master of psychological illusion returns to the stage with his latest show, Derren Brown: Infamous, demonstrating once again why Derren is one of the world’s most renowned live performers; a dark manipulator of magic and mind control. For Infamous, a more ‘personal’ show, Derren is re-united with his close collaborator and friend, actor/writer Andy Nyman. Infamous is Derren’s sixth show since 2003. He has toured every year since then and has been watched by an estimated audience of over 2 million people. He has won two prestigious Olivier Awards, for Something Wicked This Way Comes (2006) and Svengali (2012), and confesses that touring is still his favourite thing to do.

Written by Willy Russell, the legendary Blood Brothers tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences. The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True. Few musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multi-award winning Blood Brothers. Bill Kenwright’s production recently surpassed 10,000 performances in London’s West End, one of only three musicals ever to achieve that milestone. It has been affectionately christened the Standing Ovation Musical, as inevitably it;

Add the diminutive Lord Farquaad, a gang of fairytale misfits, and a biscuit with attitude, and you’ve got the biggest, brightest musical comedy around! Featuring all new songs as well as cult Shrek anthem I’m a Believer, Shrek The Musical brings all the much-loved DreamWorks characters to life, live on stage, in an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza. Join the adventure.

BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE TRANSFORMING THEATRE ROYAL GLASGOW FOR GENERATIONS TO COME 2014 is a special year for Theatre Royal Glasgow as we complete a major transformation which we hope will make your visits to the theatre even more enjoyable. Our dramatic new entrance on the corner of Hope Street and Cowcaddens Road is going up fast and will house fantastic facilities and greatly improve access to all levels. With new lifts, spacious foyers, better bars, more toilets and improved air-flow in the auditorium, we’re bringing the theatre firmly into the 21st century. We’ve already completed the re-positioning of the seats in the Stalls and Dress Circle and we hope you are enjoying the improved sightlines, leg room and comfort. The new foyers will also give us an improved box office facility and, from July 2014, day to day box office services for the Theatre Royal and the King’s Theatre will be based at the Theatre Royal. The King’s Theatre Box Office will be open prior to shows at the venue. The theatre will be closed for a short period, re-opening in May 2014 for performances of Scottish Opera’s Madama Butterfly, and the new foyers will be complete in time for Glasgow’s hosting of the Commonwealth Games in 2014. Keep an eye on the Scottish Opera website at scottishopera.org.uk and atgtickets.com/glasgow for regular updates.
