CAPSICUM OIL The health benefits of Capsicum oil include relief from stomach issues, muscle spasms, back pain, headaches, skin aging, peptic ulcers, menopausal problems, lower risk of cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes. It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, and may also provide relief from pain related to arthritis. It is known as a powerful anti-cancer. Capsicum Oil also helps healing fibromyalgia and psoriasis.

What is Capsicum oil? Capsicum (peppers) is an ancestral spice from diverse and pungent edible fruit from any of the varieties within the Capsicum genus. It is widely used in most of southern kitchens for its spicy flavour, deriving from capsaicin, an odourless, tasteless photochemical, which produces the chili pepper’s heat. Capsaicin is found in the fleshy membrane of both sweet and hot peppers and in higher concentration in the seeds. We make our oil from the best variety of Chilli in Thailand, and with a cold press procedure we extract its oil, that we package in edible capsules to reap its medicinal benefits.

Capsicum oil Nutrition Facts The use of whole chilli peppers from the Capsicum genus provides nutritional value, including high amounts of vitamin C and vitamin A. Capsicum oil beneficial bioactive components of the capsicum chili are the content of flavonoids. Alkaloids and tannins are some of the other important bioactive compounds; Alkaloids work as anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antioxidant agents.

Health Benefits of Capsicum oil Anti-inflammatory Agent The phytochemical constituents of capsicum produces an anti-inflammatory response that alleviates peripheral neurogenic pain related to Crohn’s disease, an inflammatory disease of the bowels. Another example of peripheral neurogenic inflammation is a cutaneous pain of the skin. Creams and balms containing Capsicum oil are often massaged topically onto the skin with care taken to avoid open areas and mucous membranes. The burning effect of capsicum is felt when applied to the skin, which is caused by an inflammatory response of the peripheral nerve endings. But regular application deadens the sensory nerve endings and relieves chronic diabetic neurogenic pain. Some suggest that the anti-inflammatory effect of capsicum may also help alleviate pain related to arthritis.

Capsicum oil forms Mucilage Capsicum oil contains tannins. Tannins are astringent and are often considered beneficial for gastrointestinal disorders such as diarrhea, dysentery, and other microbial disorders. Gastric mucilage acts to protect the gastric lining and prevent peptic ulcer development. It is also a good practice to avoid touching the eyes or bodily mucus membranes after use of capsicum oil. It is advisable to wash your hands thoroughly immediately after usage.

Improves Heart Health Recent studies on flavonoids have suggested that they are definitely beneficial towards preventing heart disease. Capsicum oil is both warming and vasodilative. A suggested effect of the vasodilative properties of capsicum is the improvement of hypotension and decreased heart rate. Vasodilatation allows for improved blood flow resulting in better oxygenation of organ tissues. This is most likely due to the tachykinins, a known bioactive ingredient in capsicum.

Antioxidant Agent All the bioactive compounds of capsicum provide antioxidant effects. Improved vasodilatation allows for these antioxidant phytochemicals to circulate throughout the body. This allows it to protect and repair tissues and damaged DNA. Kha Bangkok Food Supplements – Essential oils – Vegetable oils – Essential oil manufacturer - Thailand
