Bamiyan Cultural Centre [International Design Competition] date: Nov. 15 2014 - Jan. 22 2015

The Competition was organised by UNESCO Critical Principles of Design According to Brief - Create an innovative design.

- Create a vital centre for the cultural community of Bamiyan allowing individuals to commune and share ideas.

- Integrate the Bamiyan Valley view into the building design and create a positive visual impact on the Cultural Landscape of Bamiyan Valley.

- Integrate an environmentally conscious design, which in the Bamiyan context should consider locally resourced materials, climate and efďŹ ciency.

- Connect to the historical context of the World Heritage property.

By Competition Rule of Having a Licensed architect in every team. I Had the Support of one of my College professors [Dr. (Arc) M.L Sagada - My responsibility Includes entire Design from Concept to presentation.

SITE LAYOUT The site layout and landscaping offers various possibilities for use and users both indoors and outdoors.

The layout has 3 major open designed spaces which are demarcated by the buildings and 10meter height difference between the Lower and Higher Elevation.

The higher elevation on which the entrance to the facility is proposed has most of the facilities. This level has 2 major open spaces. The First is a fore court at the entrance bounded by car parking lot, Research Area, exhibition Area, Reception, Performance Hall and Admin building. It’s more of welcome scenery with easy access to all the facilities at this level.

The second open space is north-west of the site bounded by Research Area, Exhibition Area and Tea house, this open space offers the best view from the higher elevation unto the bamiyan plans/valley and the buddha cliff.

Child-friendly public space [International Design Competition] date: 20.11.2014 - 15.05.2015

Organised by: Moms Carpathian (NGO), Warm city (NGO) and Planning and architecture department of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council.

Goals: - Using method of competitive selection to determine the best project proposals of public space organization by adapting it to needs of children under a speciďŹ ed list of areas within the central part of Ivano-Frankivsk.

- Ensure the creation of environment for quality rest and recreation of differently aged children.

- Create modern, qualitatively new objects in the city.

DESIGNING RESILIENT SCHOOLS [Iversity + Open Online Academy New york]

Design CONCEPT

date : Jan. - March 2014

An online design studio course that was a response to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan at Philippines in late 2013.

My Team was TEAM_DRS 004 (STUDIO8) Consisted of 7 other persons and project was Titled “project PENTAResilient” -Jonah Yohannah Gimba -Cinzia Russo -Hager Ali -Engy Fayez -Biyayya Sanda Waje -Cherie Faiella -Sushan Karmacharya DESIGN CHALLENGE The design challenge was to design a single classroom unit which could withstand natural disasters and can easily reassembled after a disaster. The class room will further be developed into other units which will make a complete school design scheme.

My responsility included -Conceptual design input, analysis and critique -Landscape design analysis/critique -final packaging and presentation of work - Classroom Section
