A walk to believe 2012:

one step closer for Eric legrand The mission of A Walk To Believe is to create awareness and to raise funds for the Eric LeGrand Believe Fund, a fund established to offer support and cover expenses for the injured Rutgers University football player Eric LeGrand and his family on his road to recovery. The second annual 5K A Walk To Believe will be held on Saturday, June 2nd at 10:00am at the High Point Solutions Stadium on Rutgers Busch Campus. Register on June 2nd for $25. After the walk, there will be a family-friendly, fun-filled afternoon with refreshments, entertainment, children's activities, and more! Veteran Transition Conference The Office of Veteran and Military Programs and Services invites staff to attend a student veteran conference at Rutgers on Monday, June 11, 2012. The theme for the conference is Veterans Transition: Combat to Campus to Career. The conference will focus on transitioning to campus, PTSD stereotypes, the effectiveness of peer-to-peer counseling, the benefits of hiring a veteran, and how corporations can be more veteran friendly. Eric Shinseki, the Secretary for the U. S. Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, has been invited to speak. Conference registration is free and open to all staff, current students, and prospective student veterans.

These individuals were selected from a pool of 59 nominations.  Michael Tolbert, recipient of the 2012 Bridge Builder Award  AnnMarie Burg, recipient of the 2012 Right Hand Woman Award  Steffanie Gallante, recipient of the 2012 Tone of C Award  Sarah Grun, recipient of the 2012 Grad Student of the Year Award  Marques Johnson, recipient of the 2012 New Professional of the Year Award  Mark Forest, recipient of the 2012 Innovation Award Health service has awarded the Roy Bowers Award for Exemplary Service to Mark Forest, Teresa Lord-Stout, and Phil Cohen.
