ABOUT OUR ABOUT OUR KIDNEYS KIDNEYS
Our kidneys are located near the middle of our back, just below our rib cage, with one of each side of our spine. They are our body’s natural filters, removing toxic waste and extra water from our blood in the form of urine.
In chronic kidney disease (CKD), kidneys become damaged and lose their ability to function over time. They can no longer filter blood as well as before, leaving many toxins and waste in the blood.
