KULTURA URBANA is based on the idea of taking a residential complex in the south of Madrid and put it through a number of remodellations to take back space and make urban culture flourish in it.
This is done in a large time frame of around 10 years, where urban groups personally assault the tower as a way of reclaiming back the space and gaining visibility, and then using the materials resulting from the demolition of the tower to build back new structures
These spaces are undefined to support the idea of the spontaneity of urban culture, and employ a dystopian language to further visibilize it.

MONASTICA is about building a safe haven for mistreated women within Lisbon’s historic neighborhood of Alfama.
Given its ancient character it seemed appropiate to study how women have historically escaped abusive situations and banded together to heal, generally through convents and monasteries.
Monastica keeps the positive aspects of monastic life without including the negative ones, and uses techniques like movable walls to be as flexible as possible to further accomodate any type of woman/family. It supports life in community and female alliances.
